Belshaw 8.5 outstanding and being on the half way line to deny Taylor was exceptional reading of the game
Anderson 7.5 felt he was unlucky to give away the pen Taylor 7.5 dealt with some good strikers pretty well Harries 7 few lapses but otherwise a good game Anderton 8 improving week on week and a great cross for the 2nd
Coutts 7.5 calm Finley 7.5 engine Westbrooke 7.5 unlucky not to grab a goal
Thomas 7 not quite his night Evans 8 such a player Nicholson 6.5 very quiet
Subs: Grant 8.5 this boy at left back is a different player Collins 8 beautiful first goal for the club Spence 9.5 did everything you could possibly ask for Jones 7 bright cameo Martinez 7 as above

Belshaw 9 m o m anyone that runs the length of the pitch to jump into the Thatcher's End to celebrate gets m o m automatically.....but, look back on highlights, some great saves and punching out (not š unfortunately) getting better and better.
Anderson 5 apart from a fab assist for winner, I thought his game was off and was the culprit on pen concession. Taylor 6.5 their 19 robbed him and beat him to the ball a few times. Ok game. Harries 7.5 best of the defence Anderton 7 decent match.
Coutts 7.5 nice captaincy and one great through ball that cut their defence in half. Finley 8 nice play getting the ball rolling and fortunate first goal of the night that set things up. Westbrooke 4.5 I can remember one tackle, but Westbrook does what Westbrook is....a ball watcher.
Thomas 7.5 nice tempo in attack. Evans 6.5 quieter match by his standards. Created some chances second half. Nicholson 8 ran his heart out.
Subs: Grant 8 another decent defensive game and brilliant set up of winner he had no right getting there. Collins 8 shaping up. Like his work rate and bit like me in papillions....scored a scorcher! Spence 8 all he blinking well does is score goals!? What use is that? Jones 6 I thought it was him missed 1 on 1 but hey it didn't matter. Martinez 5 can't remember what he done.
Ref 7 decent match, let a lot go (which I like) but word about the East Terrace lino.....how many offside decisions did he miss because didn't keep up with play? One Oxford move had THREE players offside that wasn't flagged, he was well behind the play and one move led to the Belshaw double save in first half injury time... Grrrrr... Oxford 7 one of the better teams especially after triple sub, but they'll kick themselves (I'll help them!) they didn't progress....over the two ties, they have created many chances to get through.

Suspect we may not see Jaakkola or Rodman in a Gas shirt again.Just hope Belshaw stays fit.

I had a window of opportunity to have a few beers at this game (kids/career means these are few and far between these days) and I was on 5 pints at kick off, so hereās my view of the game:
Belshaw played well. I canāt even remember Coutts playing. Itās all a bit hazy. I remember westbroke as he has grown his hair. Matt Taylor - TAYLOR YOU *****$ you JUDAS. BOOOO. Oh, ah, heās scored. Evans. Played OK, he has orange boots. Collins also has orange boots and so does someone else. Therefore I canāt comment much, if could have been one of three people. Collins - amazing goal. Spenceā¦whoās he again! Heās scored! Twice! TAYLOR YOU ******* Youāve run out of pasties? Thatās ridiculous.
As you can see, alcohol did not enhance the experience.
As an aside, I find too much beer kind of ruins the game. Itās hard to focus. I think 2 pints is the ultimate level of intoxication for a game.
Iāve added literally nothing of value to this thread. Carry on.

Results in and James Belshaw and Sion Spence were joint Man of the Match with scores of 8.63
I'm pretty sure Spence's 8.6 is the highest ever rating by a substitute in these threads. The previous best was Matty Taylor's 8.1 away to Cambridge in 2015/16.
The starting XI average was 7.18.
Belshaw 8.6
Anderson 6.9 Taylor 7.3 Harries 6.7 Anderton 7.6
Coutts 7.4 Finley 7.3 Westbrooke 6.3
Thomas 6.8 Evans 7.2 Nicholson 6.9
Subs: Grant 7.9 Collins 8.3 Spence 8.6 Jones 6.8 Martinez 6.4
Ref 6.7 Oxford 6.8
