Seems like Lansdown has abandoned dreams of the Premier League for the time being. Can't say I blame him. Rich as he is, it must be a shock to see the rate at which cash flows out as each campaign fails. Maybe he just wants to keep City as an established and safe Championship club, which these days requires a good stadium, lots of income streams and millions spent. Less than the wannabee Prem clubs, but millions nevertheless. All they need is one season in the prem and most of that debt is gone, they should feel extremely lucky that other clubs had points deductions or they could have been down , this season

Twas ever thus with Bristol City. Light on culture but heavy on violence. As a 58 year old Rovers supporter, i have to say that we had and still have plenty of our own who are drawn to that. I was just 3-4 years too young to have been involved in the tote end fighting but i was there and saw it and that place used to be feared, by many. I don’t know if you went to the tinpot trophy match , which is when we last played them but we certainly had a core group whose only intention was to cause trouble and they succeeded. I know this will sound bad but i was kind of proud and happy of them as they kept their lot at bay while me and then then Mrs, made our way back to the coach. It was not a night for the faint of heart. How the hell they managed to get glass bottles into ground is beyond me and she was very lucky when one missed her by just a couple of inches and when it fell, it was full of urine. What i didn’t understand was how more of our fans got jail and were brought in for questioning, than theirs. It was on national TV. One of my favourite moments was when they ran at us, after the match but we all stood our ground and sang Irene. It felt like something out of the film the 300. I didn’t see one person take a step backwards but i did see their running stop, before their stewards got to make a line , in front of them

If Landsdown really wanted to get them to the Prem surly with all his billions they would be there by now, I just think he's more interested in the egg chasers, maybe I am wrong it has been known Put it this way, would you see your son fail if you could do something about it ? I am fairly confident that SL will back his son and that they will ride this out. I just cannot see any decent father not intervene if his boy was looking at failure

Sad to hear that while Rovers are supporting Caring in Bristol homeless charity through Sleep Where You Stand, City declined.
Not too surprising when they have the betting sponsors all over the kids shirt (pretty sure we had a different version of kids and adults when we had the football player share sponsors and they happily have a so called comedian Brand appearing at AG who likes phoning an old frail grandad to let him know his conquest of his grandaughter.
Heard tax dodger Lansdown wanted to furlough and get premiership grants to cover City's wages and had the cheek to charge the NHS to use the stadium for life saving jabs.
Profits before people at AG.

I didn’t see one person take a step backwards but i did see their running stop, before their stewards got to make a line , in front of them They encroached on the pitch before the game ended along the dolman stand - stood on the line and affected play - spat at Harrison as he got the ball infront of them. Then ran onto the pitch to confront the Gasheads but didn’t dare actually attack them. I believe they got their come uppance in the car park but like you say whilst it would have been easy to pick out so many of them when they stood on the line the police never. Just knocked on the doors of Gasheads protecting others leaving the ground. This season there has been at least 4 incidents of bottles being thrown at players in different matches - a flare was thrown at a player taking a corner yesterday. Will there be any repercussions - No chance. How they were able to stand on the line for so long in that Rovers match without the ref stopping the match and getting them removed God knows. They seem untouchable which has just bred an attitude and culture they can really do what they want now. What is laughable on OTIB they ridicule teams for any misdemeanour especially us and Cardiff condemning them recently for the audacity of smashing up their sh** hole

Well, they have none of the above 😂. They really are a vile club

I think he finally might want out. I reckon he’d keep the bears and flyers, but the money in football and the gap in resources in the championship is getting more and more ridiculous with nobody doing anything to address it. Other than on loyalty and support for them which he’s done for many years, why should he be expected to fund millions and millions pound losses in an unfair system where it’s now next to impossible to compete with the parachute payment clubs. The problem is.. if he did want out of the football, but retain the rugby then how would he decouple the two entities now that they are so intertwined? He could buy them mem off of us after we relocate? That would give him a timeframe of say 4 or 5 years to plan what to do with the ground, have City in Ashton on their own with the other franchises. It won’t happen because of this stupid tribal rivalry but it would make sense, he could then sell Vity to the best buyer who wouldn’t have a pre-existing setup they might not like (ie they don’t want rugby just football) It may encourage more gas heads to support the rugby team again back at the mem , their spiritual home. The above is assuming what Wael said at the beginning, the selling of the mem is not conditional on the purchase of the UWE site.
