Perhaps they realise that making outlandish statements reaching the Premier League will be thrown back in their faces for all eternity. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36962717 Set realistic targets, achieve them, consolidate and then reevaluate. Evolution not revolution I want Wael & Gorringe to promise European football in 5 yrs Barton said we would be promoted. We are not short of our own unrealistic and arrogant predictions already. It's looking like Bartons will prove to be just as unachievable too.

I sort of get this argument and I’ve often said myself that I’d prefer Rovers in the championship than the prem league ….. but….. is that the height of our ambition as a club to just make it into the championship? It’s been stated by the CEO , The manager etc . So , *if* and when we get there we already know we wouldn’t bother to challenge and we’d be happy just to be there ?! Hmm 🤔 With the few notable exceptions, there seems to be a glass ceiling between top Championship and the rest, probably due to the money gained in the Prem added to the parachute payments. Personally I'd prefer to be a top L1/mid-lower Championship team rather than an established mid table team with nothing really to play for. Not that I get a say in the matter. The infrastructure is key either way, but the relegation battles and promotion seasons is what makes football competitive and exciting. That mini-league of top six Championship bottom six PL is strange. One season the Fulhams/Burnleys/West Broms of this league are jubilant because they've been promoted. Next year or perhaps the one after, they're relegated, sack the manager who got them there, spend about £100m on wages and transfer fees and start again in the Championship. Propped up by parachute payments. It's not exactly a level playing field. And I would imagine it's very frustrating for their fans.

Reading this is hilarious as some people really just want JB to fail at all costs and turn a thread about our hated rivals having a poor season and could realistically get embroiled into a relegation fight. Instead of having a bit of fun at there expense, would rather have a pop at the club and JB instead. Seriously you are extremely boring now spouting the same crap on every thread. Time for a break from here again it is just so tedious. Have a great Christmas UTG Tis sad that some just want to take shots at JB all the time...wonder how they would get through the day if they had something serious to worry about. I do. I hope you never have to, i will leave it at that

Apparently it was really well dealt with on the day. Covid passes were checked and they had testing stations for those that didn't have a pass. It was freezing cold, they have been playing poorly, a week before Xmas and there is a pandemic on. For once I don't see anything to gain from highlighting a low attendance. It is called taking the p**s and when the club's so called fans throw bottles at players they deserve it.Anyway it doesn't show allot of loyalty from their supporters. Hating them is not going to fill our ground or make us any better. I talked with some very decent people who went and they said the player made much more of what actually went on than what really happened. I see it didn’t really make any headlines, twitter apart

City Chief Exec or someone of note spoke very eloquently on BBC Radio 5 this morning about Covid and the fact that all their players are fully jabbed.Spoke with authority. So despite them being a club without many endearing qualities ,he was good.

Their players travelled over to Nailsea from their training ground in Failand in their team coach on Monday of this week and to a man had their covid boosters. Fair play to them having had meetings with medics etc attending and explaining to the players all the ins and outs of being jabbed.

Yep, sets a good example to their younger fans some of whom will certainly be jab-dodgers. I think other clubs including our own could have done a lot more to promote getting fully jabbed.
