All down to Drakeford playing politics, being doing it before covid and even more since. Yep what's more insightful is that ICU occupancy is 87% with only 30 beds taken up by Covid less than in August however Dickford loves a power play. What does that also tell you about Labour in Wales shambolic management of the NHS for the past 25years,they have left it so threadbare that any increase in ICU hospitalisation above the norm cannot be accomadated .

Scotland just put a limit of 500 attending for an outside event, including the Old Firm in New Year!

I wonder if the new 7 day isolation period now means the game could have gone ahead after all, as assuming the positive tests were before last Saturday's match then, subject to RLF negative tests later this week, those players could now play on Sunday under the new rules?

I see that Crawley's Boxing Day game was announced as postponed yesterday, due to Covid in their camp. Are they likely to be cleared to play us on 29th December?

Help please, I’m gonna order some test kits so I have one if needed over the coming weeks….which test do you do if you think you may have covid? Am I right in thinking they send them to your home and you send them back?
Thank you.

Highly doubt it, I think clubs are waiting like the rest of us to see what the situation will be with supporters being allowed to attend after the inevitable restrictions are announced as well.

Am I right in thinking they send them to your home and you send them back? Thank you. You can get lateral flow tests. Best bet is to pick them up from a pharmacy this close to Christmas maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/They’re supposed to be used to check yourself when you dont think you have Covid. If you think you do have covid you can get a free PCR test but pretty sure you’re not supposed to get the home test kits unless you actually think you have it already. You can buy the PCRs privately but they’re really aimed at people who want to travel abroad. Your best shout is to get a pack of the lateral flows and get a proper test booked in if you need one.

Thanks G&E, I’ll order some laterals now, seems strange you have to book a test if you’ve got it, surely you may be not well enough to go out? Much appreciated.

I don’t think we will see Rovers again before Easter. I think you might be right. This is escalating rapidly. Those 6 matches cancelled so far for Boxing Day will be about 66 by then, and it can only get worse. Especially if they allow hundreds of thousands into stadiums, which they won't, imo. Looking at how fast and easily this virus spreads and its ability to break through vaccines, I can't help but conclude that at present going into a packed stadium is high risk. Clubs are in a difficult position as they need money from gates and bars etc. but it's certainly not without risk both to those attending and the wider community.

We cancel one. Two clubs affected. Someone else cancels a game with us. The same thing happening all across the Football League. These things happen at short notice with no chance to play an alternative fixture. It's going to lead to a huge backlog of games. I'm not sure how they'll cope unless the season is extended.
