Christmas Island, part of the Republic of Kiribati, has rung in the New Year.
Best wishes to all.
Any thoughts for the next 12 months?
Plenty of politics including the French Presidential elections and of course, Covid.
World Cup year, too.
Any holidays planned or wished for?

Loads of Champagne, red, white and rose wine to be consumed. 2022.....Macron to be booted out, covid is no longer, free to travel worldwide without remortgaging to pay for tests, England to win the world cup.....not a hope but we can wish. Pretty much the same as 2021 I think. No holidays planned other that go back to the UK in the spring as we had to cancel our trip back for Christmas. Would love to return back to Nepal and do more trekking in the Himalayas. Have a good one tonight. UTG

May I also pass on my best wishes to all . the next 12 months , well , hopefully Macron wins or we’ll end up with some far right nutter on our doorstep and only a fool would want that . Hi francegas Not holding out much hope for England doing much in the oppressive heat of a Qatar World Cup this time . Got a two week cruise booked and also got 4 weeks off in the school summer holidays, gonna do a rd trip including France , Switzerland, Italy and maybe a bit of Spain .

Happy new year to the libs & right winger
New year's resolution is to be less online and less inflammatory... But, will also try and spend more working hours on here posting moral arguments, as I still believe a few of you are good hearted and can be swayed away from your bourgeois ideological prison.

Happy new year all! Any new year resolutions or goals set? Retire. Hardly a surprise. You public sector lot have always had it easy. Next thing you'll be asking for a pay rise as well. Oh wait..

Happy New Year all!
The majority of my year will be the build up to the World Cup and hoping this Covid sh*tshow clears up by then!

Happy New Year all! The majority of my year will be the build up to the World Cup and hoping this Covid sh*tshow clears up by then! What are you doing for the World Cup build up? Pretty much everything going on in Qatar right now is the final preparations for the World Cup. I work in rail, and even though our Metro system has been open for a couple of years now, we still have various bits and pieces do finish off and get ready. I'm certainly looking forward to the year ahead!
