You’re allocated a seat. Sit in it. It’s alright for the grown lads to stand wherever, but there are kids with their parent(s) who want to be able to sit together. But they won’t be able to do that if their tickets aren’t together. And that’s when the whole sit where your allocated situation falls completely apart at the seams. You can’t pick your seat number. You can’t guarantee your party is sat next to one another. Some people get sh** seats and don’t want to sit there. And some find someone else sat in their seat anyway. All because of the above. Simple. Away ticketing is miles behind home ticketing. Actually the new eTicket system is pretty good for group bookings. You can add other members to your network and buy tickets for them at the same time as you buy your own. You can't pick the seats exactly, but you can certainly opt to be sat together.

But do you actually get tickets sited together or a mish mash? Another poster suggested they had a mish mash. So either it’s not simple enough to use, or the functionality to be sat together doesn’t work.

There is a radio button giving you the option to select "seats together" and you get to see the seat numbers before you proceed with the purchase. I've not had any problems with it at all

I've not had any problems with it at all So you just need to make sure that the "Only show me seats together" option is selected. I can't see why it would randomly allocate seats in batches anyway though? Unless there were no groups of that size available by the time the booking attempt is made? Anyway; it's always worked for me. If it didn't then I would contact someone at the club to see if it could be resolved (if I was that bothered, obviously)

Had a play around and it looks simple enough, so long as it reflects the tickets actually received. I can see how someone could get it wrong though. Also wouldn't work if people were buying their tickets seperately - I wouldn't want to pay for a mates tickets as I'm not generous enough Additionally it very much never used to be this way!

Anyone else getting the train from Parkway to Temple Meads? It’s going to be a tough turnaround time to make the 8:13! Yep. Aiming to get the 07:43am train from Parkway to Temple Meads. It should arrive at 07:54 and give me just enough time to change platforms to get the 08:13am train to Swindon. What could possibly go wrong? Sorry if I've missed something obvious, but why are you and Dirt Dogg leaving so early? It can't be to take in the sights of Swindon before a one o'clock kickoff?

If any of you Clowns are thinking about sitting in seat 23 row J think again. You’ll be for it. I’ll be in the ground at about 20 past one , Boo Garner for ruining my life., quick pi$$, followed by 10 to 15 minutes at the front arguing with the stewards. Another pi$$ before the half time rush. Probably another 15 mins for a drink and a bite to eat. Back down the front , Boo Garner , gesticulate with the Home fans and abuse the Officials. Quick pi$$, then look through every pocket 3 times to find my ticket.Boo Garner . Stagger up the steps and try and remember where J is in the alphabet. Remonstrate with some numb nut sitting in my seat, only to discover I’m in the wrong Row. Boo Garner. Stand on everyone’s foot in row L whilst spilling my drink over most people in row K. It’s 2:30 I’m homing in on my seat, be afraid. Boo Garner..not sure why, but he looks smug. Swindon get a controversial penalty , abuse the officials , Peno missed, gesticulate wildly at the Home fans. Boo Garner. Stand on everyone’s foot in row J. Seat 23 has gone , could be on the pitch, blame Garner. Argue with Hi Viss guy. Rovers get a last minute winner, celebrate wildly while falling down several rows , hug random stranger. Final whistle , celebrate like a loon, wave goodbye to the Wiltshire misfits and Boo Garner. Best game I’ve seen for ages.

More drinking time. Can't be watching Rovers sober.... Wetherspoons 9am pint of £1.99 Ruddles? I am not fussy what pub as long as I don't have to queue too much for the bar... my favourite Wetherspoons is probably The Imperial in Exeter - and when we played them earlier this season it was impossible to get a pint, I had to walk down into town a bit for a quieter pub. I imagine we'll be kettled to an "away pub" this Saturday anyway - so unlikely to have any choice in that regard. I'm not sure the local plod will buy that I am just popping to Swindon to do some sight seeing and let me free....
