I have nothing against Bristol rugby fans they enjoy their sport as much as the next man. BUT it was fantastic to see yet another one of the so called white knights sporting enterprises FAIL.
And it will be hilarious to watch trashton get cut up during the winter. And to see them wear the same colours as Gloucester.

I must admit to being a little sad for Bristol RFC, it would have been nice to see them win promotion in their last game at the Mem. Having said that I share the schadenfreude that yet another pillar of the attempt to turn Guernsey-based 'Bristol Sport' into the monopoly promoter of sport in this area has failed!
It also shows that any league system where the main season is just a qualifier for a knock out competition is pretty difficult to understand. At least in the Conference the champion's get automatic promotion.

I found it interesting that the majority of Bristol fans interviewed last night sounded happy to be going to Ashton Gate. There was the odd exception but they were definately a minority.

As an adult and a Bristolian I'm gutted that my citys only rugby team missed out on Premiership Rugby. Lansdown may be citys chairman but he is trying hard to improve the fortunes of our only Rugby Club.
Dont give a sh** about Bristol City, they are not my team but Bristol are our citys only rugby team, they helped us out in getting back to Bristol and we owe them some good will.

I live just outside Bath so I can be quite happy that another of Pantsdown's toys is failing.

Well I know a lot of Bristol fans who are certainly NOT happy about having to go down the gate. If they'd won last night they would not have minded, but the thought of crossing the city in heavy traffic to watch championship rugby in a crowd of 3000 or less does not appeal. Most rugby fans like a pint of ale before the game, and a pint of fizzy keg in the Three Lions or under the Dolman stand doesn't compare with a pint in the Welly, or the Inn the Green.
Money bags Lansdown has also said he'll give away free tickets for the 'teds to watch his other toy, and I don't think rugby fans will welcome an influx of Hartcliffe's finest dragging their knuckles along the ground....
Still it'll be fun to hear the sheet heads complaining about the pitch in November after the egg chasers have given it a good going over withe their rucks and mauls!

Saw the owners interview on our pitch earlier, never seen a more smarmy, smug weasely excuse of a man in my life.It cost peanuts to get into the rugby prem in comparison to the football equivalent so the deep pocketed charmer will get them there soon enough.

Aren't they installing one of those dual purpose pitches at Ashton Gate? Sorry, I can't remember the technical term!

Desso?
Good luck to them. Their nightmare is far from over.

As a Bristolian i dont care about bristol rugby club, i prefer Bath RFC as a league team, there are far better rugby clubs in bristol to support than bristol rfc

I feel sorry for the fans of Bris, they deserve prem rugby and would of got it but for the shambolic rules.
