Getting carried away after such a brilliant performance:
Belshaw 8.5 awesome.
Hoole 8.5 awesome. Taylor 8.5 awesome. Connolly 8.5 awesome. Anderton 8.5 awesome.
Coutts 8 awesome. Finley 9 awesome.
Nicholson 9 awesome. E. Anderson 9 awesome. H. Anderson 8.5 awesome.
Collins 9.5 awesomest.
Subs: Whelan 7.5 excellent. Thomas 8.5 excellentest sub L. Clarke 8 excellent.
Ref 9 awesome. Sutton 5 awful.
Scintillating display and thoroughly enjoyed that. Almost every went right with the passing and movement in final third. Their keeps handling was impeccable, but his mistake that led to Collins doubling our lead was moral justice....as was the missed pen, for me it was never a penalty.
A great night all round in rainy conditions, but if we are more consistent in this type of performance, we're going to give teams a division above us hard times, let alone Sutton Utd et al.
Best performance of the season. Well done all.

Belshaw 8 not a foot or hand wrong
Hoole 8 defended admirably Taylor 8.5 a colossus Connolly 8 few iffy touches but otherwise solid Anderton 8.5 marauding going forward and solid defensively
Coutts 6.5 marked down for the penalty miss Finley 7.5 good game without being spectacular
Nicholson 8 really unlucky not to get a goal tonight, caused their defenders problems every time he got the ball E. Anderson 7.5 should’ve had a goal if not 2 H. Anderson 7.5 got the night started and really set the tone
Collins 9.5 energy, skill, pace, strength, passion, determination, won a penalty, scored a beauty, had another ruled out. Their defenders are going to have nightmares thinking about the amount of times he won the ball when he had no right to. Outstanding
Subs: Whelan 7 effective, sensible substitution Thomas 7.5 tenacious as always L. Clarke 7 a tidy cameo
Ref 9 the best we’re likely to see all season Sutton 5 looked bright early on but really faded into a bang average team

Belshaw 8
Hoole 7 Very good overall but didn’t stop enough crosses. Taylor 9 Solid as ever. Brilliant player. Struggling to think of many better CBs we’ve had over the last 10 years. Connolly 7 A few moments of uncertainty/poor decisions could’ve been costly but still pretty solid. Anderton 7 Same as Hoole. Been much more impressed with Anderton ever since he scored the winner at Harrogate.
Coutts 9 Missed pen will stand out but he was awesome tonight. We saw a lot less of the ball the moment he went off. Finley 8 Closer to his best first half.
Nicholson 9 (my MOM) Back to his best. E. Anderson 9 Should’ve scored but very skillful. H. Anderson 8 Lovely finish
Collins 9 Would’ve had a 10 if not but his absolute sitter.
Subs: Whelan 6 Thomas 6 L. Clarke nole
Ref 9. Excellent for a change. West linesman though, absolutely clueless. 1/10 for him. Sutton 4. Very one dimensional. Long ball & spamming crosses. Surprised they’re where they are after seeing them play 180 mins at the mem.

Belshaw 7.5 a fairly quiet night but did the basics right. Hoole 8 another excellent game, strong in the tackle and got forward well Taylor 8.5 he kept Suttons big forwards quiet and nulified their only tactic. Connolly 8 mature beyond his years, he always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Anderton 8 strong and dominating, such an improvement on his early season form, Coutts 8 him and Finley go well together enforcing and protecting the defence well, Finley 8 as Coutts they do well as a pair and we always miss him when he's not playing Nicholson 9 his best display in a Rovers shirt, he caused mayhem constantly changing position. E. Anderson 8 he set up the first goal which helped set the tone for the rest of the game, bags of confidence and ability. H. Anderson 8 a well taken goal,he got through a huge amount of work, his ability to play in different roles makes his a valuable asset. Collins 9.5 m.o.m.simply brilliant !!! Subs: Whelan 7 steadied the ship late on. Thomas 7 showed some nice touches. L. Clarke 7 added some ariel power late on Ref 8 very good Sutton 6 strong ,one dimensional team but they had no answer to our high energy game.

Belshaw 7 - Quiet night for him but swept up nicely on a few occasions and just instills so much confidence in me with everything he does
Hoole 7.5 - Work to do with his on-ball skills but great defensively and got a big future ahead of him at Rovers Taylor 9 - Class Connolly 8 - Few dodgy moments but otherwise very good Anderton 8 - Growing on me game by game. His physicality and height at LB is a useful option to have
Coutts 8 - Missed penalty the only blip on his night really. Calm & composed on the ball Finley 8 - The metronome in midfield
Nicholson 9 - First time all season he’s looked close to the Nicholson of last season. Tormented Sutton all night E. Anderson 8.5 - Lad’s gonna go far H. Anderson 8 - Best performance in a Rovers shirt. Classy finish
Collins 9.5 - Unplayable
Subs: Whelan 6.5 Thomas 6 L. Clarke 6
