Bloody hell.Best cricket player I’ve seen in my lifetime.Actually faced an over from him at the old imperial ground in Knowle/Brislington when he was an unknown youngster. R.I.P mate.

Not just the greatest Leg Spinner of all time, the greatest Bowler of all time. And one of the all time greats of Cricket. Full stop.

I was fortunate enough (not at the time) to see him take his 700th test wicket at the MCG in the Ashes test in 2006, bowling out Andrew Strauss. Think this was his last test series. The guy certainly ‘lived the life’ albeit short - RIP fella - it was a privilege to see you play.
