Belshaw 9 j m o m match winner save to preserve lead.
Hoole 8 nothing beat him. Taylor 7 I thought could do better in the air marking his man, but faultless on the ground especially bringing the ball out. Connolly 7 some passes astray but otherwise very good. Anderton 8.5 best of the defence and got to support front runners too.
Coutts 8.5 just adds that calmness and ties up the link between defence and mid efficiently. Finley 6 is he suspended now?
H. Anderson 9 j m o m took his chance we'll from a more acute angle than first thought, ran himself ragged, a match winner. Evans 7.5 some decent moves, some poor passes but good all round game. E. Anderson 8 they physically tried to take him out the game, that helped nullify him 2nd half.
Collins 7 not his match but his running and tracking wasn't always picked up, worked hard.
Ref 6 average. Made some baffling decisions our way.....for a change!? Northampton 7 tough opponents as expected. Physical and direct, the set piece (including a useful long throw in) is their biggest threat and many teams will falter because of this. I always thought their threat in open play was minimal. Yes they hit the bar two times, Belly pulled a worldy, but our defence appears to have a synergy about it and there's definitely a reward for playing consistent unchanged team, defensively.
A great away day! From weather to win, this might be reflected on as a catalyst huge win. Northampton Town are no mugs in this division, they've been up there most the season and we find ourselves doing the double on them, and just outside the autos by an odd goal (that Coutts penalty miss might be the difference!?). Well done for everyone whom turned up to make the atmosphere brilliant, well done the sensible stewarding, well done players and management for an important away win and seeing our the game for 89.5mins! UptheGas!

Finley 6 is he suspended now? No. The cut off for 10 yellows was 37 games. If he gets another 5 before the end of the season (inc play-off's) he will get a 3 match ban, as will anyone getting 15 yellows by then
