Definitely rode our luck , - 2 hit the bar combined with a worldly from belly too. Yeah they looked and sounded horrible from the highlights / commentary but it’s the 4th division , it’s to be expected. 3 points is all that matters . Thing about this squad is when we play well we win 3-0 or so and when we get caught in a scrappy game we win 1-0 or draw. Win often Draw occasionally Lose rarely.
And we do that.

Bloody hell, good finish from Anderson but how has the keeper let that in🤣 Keepers going the wrong way in his ready position. The majority of his weight is on one foot. Starting position is your first thing as a keeper if you haven’t got that then you’ve got to pull off what people see as an amazing save to save it. But as all experienced keepers know the best saves are either the straightforward saves or the ones you don’t even have to make. The world class saves are Usually when your not quite right and you have got to make it right very quickly.

Great finish that angle was very very tight, did see it go in but wasn’t tuned in to the match 30 secs in lol usual suspects arriving late

Thing is in this league you can play that way and still do well. When we went up in ‘16 Oxford and Northampton both played decent football as did we. But this time around the style we play is very attractive for league 2. You don’t see many Man City-style teams in League 2 perhaps Swindon (?) But we have played, since Christmas on the front foot and decent attacking football. UTG!

UTG! yeh one Cobbler came on here end of last week saying their position was false, set plays only and we would win It's effective after a fashion but like JB said, not pretty to watch and you would not pay to see it. Probably why they never managed to crack a song out on Saturday, league position aside not a lot to sing about at Sixfields.....

Those highlights didn't really do the game justice. Northampton literally only had those 3 moments in the entire game. As a home side second in the table they certainly didn't create enough to deserve to win, Belshaw has definitely had much busier games, he had one save to make and a few catches. We controlled that game from the first minute, nearly broke clean through a few times in the first 15 and missed the best chance of the game when Anderson tried to round the keeper, really should of scored! Shows how well we played really when we looked like we could go up a few gears if needed.

Shows how well we played really when we looked like we could go up a few gears if needed. You have to sense that's a typical Northampton performance, given most of their goals come from set pieces. Now we're at the business end of the season you do wonder if they can rely on that to keep them in the top 3.
