Wall gone back to Luton today. Martin loan spell up this week. Goldberg only here for another few weeks unless he extends? Puddy contract up soon althought I expect him to extend. Della Verde went back early from his loan.

I would love LDV to come back and that might be a possibility?
Happy with Wall going; ditto Martin.
Goldberg? Not convinced one way or the other and I would back the manager on what he decides.

Do we still need 2 new strikers?
Only Barnet and Grimsby have a better goal difference than us. What a difference a few wins on the trot can make!

Not sure we need a new striker, depending on Goldberg. Jury is still out on him. I think any striker we sign will have a hard task to break into the team if Taylor and Blisset continue to play well together. And with Harrison in contention as well.
I'd like to see us sign a winger/LDV. And maybe someone in midfield. I do feel when Clarke plays alongside Mansell, we leave a huge gap between the strikers and midfield. I'd like to see someone who could play in the role Sinclair is now brought in to add more strength there.

DC said on the radio after the game,he would like two or three in,and has not decided on Martin yet,but wouldn't be drawn on what area of the pitch, just he knows where he would like to strengthen the team.

Good to hear, need to ensure the pressure for places keeps players at the top their game.
Still can't help thinking that signing a experienced striker/poacher is what we need to win the tight games.
One thing's for sure, we're a lot more attractive proposition to join than when we signed Martin etc.

There will be experienced strikers who can't get a place in a team in the leagues above who will want to be part of a final 'promotion push', and I think that is what we need. Look at Benson for Luton last year for a typical example. Higher up the leagues, I remember Kevin Phillips being that sort of player for Leicester, Palace etc.
One of those + Della Verde back on loan until the end of the season will do for me, plus maybe one more striker if the other players on loan go back to their clubs.

You need to cover for eventualities like injuries. Whilst not all of DCs signings have been up to scratch his policy of short contracts and shorter loan deals has been a real success giving us a lot of flexibility. This will also help next season as other then Monkhouse, Mansell and Harrison we can pick and choose.

I still think we have a great chance in signing Matt Tubbs in January, DC seemed very confident at the last WSM supporters meeting and said he had been talking to him and will approach him again in January!

Trotman extending his contract looks any interesting one as those the fact he, in my view, was harshly dropped today indicate DC/NT still haven't overcome whatever issues they need to resolve before he signs a contract extension?

LDV until the end of the season, Tubbs and maybe a creative CM and I genuinely think we can win this league.

I'd be amazed if we managed to sign the joint top goal scorer of League Two... liking the sound of DC's confidence but I'll believe it when I see it I think. Trotman extending his contract looks any interesting one as those the fact he, in my view, was harshly dropped today indicate DC/NT still haven't overcome whatever issues they need to resolve before he signs a contract extension? I assumed Trotman was rested today, did seem a bit harsh but I guessed 3 games in less than a week may be too much for either of Trotman or McChrystal. Hope there are no issues because Trotman is a great defender. On a side note, I see Della-Verde tweeted about us today, and a fan asked whether there was any chance of him coming back in Jan. He said 'could be'. I know it's only Twitter and the infamous 'summer of O'Toole' must be taken into account, but it seems Christmas might not be over just yet...

I hope we can sign Tubbs but just looking at things logically I can't see why he would want to drop to the conference. Regardless of his time with DC. He would get into any league two team.
LDV would also be awesome to get back. I hope Martin Allen doesn't make a cheeky attempt to get him. Ripped them apart and with Barnet being based in London geographically it makes sense.

Tubbs lol. Why not go for Gareth Bale while we are at it. Just as much chance - i.e. zero percent.
A nice thought a few months back but there is literally no chance whatsoever now.
Best chance would be a 200k bid for Akinde. Don't rate him, but that 200k would probably guarantee our spot in the FL next season (which is worth more than 200k). Take away Akinde's goals and I bet Barnet are relegation candidates #onemanteam #areyouliverpoolindisguise

I've been saying for a long time I'd like us to sign a right back but I must say after leadbitter's second half display at torquey then his performance against maccy I'm not so sure, if he can continue that I'm more then happy to leave him there. I'd chop a leg off to get LDV for the season and definitely bring in another striker

Trotman was dropped because he has dodgy knees and can't play 2 games in short time scale
