Gives absolutely no credit to us at all. Horrible manager who's team doesnt play football Tbf to the man he kept some dignity just minutes after a big disappointment and said all the right things about his team. Agree about his team not playing football and he didn’t give credit to us but I can just imagine the disappointment I’d have felt if what happened to Northampton had happened to us. You could see he was steaming about what team Scunthorpe had selected but he kept quiet. No, he didn’t give us any credit but I didn’t expect him to after what JB had said about them. But sod it! I’m. Gashead, we are going up! Well done JB, well done the team. UTG!

Crazy think is that the amount of the goals that we needed to get promoted was irrelevant.we could match anything.hehehe

There are no words. Unbelievable! Is the season DVD out yet? I could never get bored of watching that. There should make a season DVD and another with extended footage of our last 2 games. DVDs are a bit 2016. Interested to see how they do something similar in this day and age? What do other clubs do these days? Fair point.
That said, for something like this I'd want a physical copy.
Not sure how else they could do it.
Surely we've got to do something. I'd be watching it on repeat for at least a month.

I've been thinking about where this amazing day fits in with the incredible history of the last 30 odd years.
The way I see it, when we got relegated from the league, we were only in the bottom 2 for about the last 20 minutes of the season. Yesterday we were only in the top 3 for the last 20 minutes of this season (both timings approximate).
For me, this exorcises that horrible memory following the Mansfield game in 2014.

Great reading the thread! What a day. First promotion I’ve missed being there in person in my lifetime, been at Southend, 1989, Wembley twice and D/R. Bought my ticket early, in March, then last week family medical emergency meant I wouldn’t be able to go so sold the ticket. Sure it was enjoyed in the East Stand though. But son managed to sort out computer and watched it yesterday afternoon alongside Soccer Saturday not the same for me but it’s all about the team.
Can read the emotion in everyone and I feel much the same. I’ve remained stone cold sober the whole time for other reasons but also to enjoy every single moment of yesterday, today and the days to come. My grandad saw the very first Rovers game against Newport in the 1920s and started me off as a Gashead. Long gone but it was good to watch the game yesterday afternoon with my youngest who was so happy after watching his team AFCB go back to the PL this week. As he said it was better than the Mansfield match which we watched all those years ago in the Thatchers!
What a great day, what a club, what a team and what a football manager. Only JB would have set us up to go for 7 goals and the team were brilliant. To have overcome all the problems that’s been thrown at the club over the past two seasons and to build what he’s built is something special. Now we’ve had 7 promotions. Fantastic!
We are back to our home of League 1 but I somehow think JB is planning more. (And thankfully we are out of this horrible league with its awful referees and awful playing styles of most teams.)
UTG!

I believe that had the pitch invasion not caused a delay in the game Rovers would have scored at least 1 more.
With both teams still playing the risk of Northampton getting an injury time 4th goal would have been too great.
Rovers would have gone for 8 and 9 .
The delay just meant the restart was just about time wasting and ball retention.

Apologies if this has been posted already, but haven't seen anything. Listening to Keith Hill's comments on the game and the reporter asks him about their keeper being punched during the pitch invasion. Hill doesn't comment but says the referee will file a report suggesting something has happened. All a bit concerning/ unsavoury. From about 8 mins: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c5hn65

And not being argumentative but their keeper, young though he he is, did everything to disrupt the game from the first minute.

Congratulations on your promotion the last two results have been absolutely incredible .I posted a few times earlier in the season but since you started winning I didnt want to come on here in case I put the mockers your team I cant help feeling a bit of sympathy for Northampton fans who surely must of thought at 3-0 up that the job was done I fear for them that they wont get through the playoffs. Back to your game, yesterday was what being a football supporter is about a day that you will remember all your lives. I dont know how you got through that match yesterday as I am not a Rovers fan and I was a bag of nerves watching them scores come through. I have tried to defend Joey Barton on here and I am made up he has come through for you with a team that reflects his character I really do hope he stays with you and pushes you on too the championship hopefully his colourful past will put off any potential suiters
Anyway congratulations again

The lad doesn't deserve to be punched whilst in his place of work though - very cowardly too, no doubt somebody feeling brave within the cover of a crowd. We've got a nasty underbelly at our club, and it needs routing out.
