Very emotional time for DC as he seemed to be thinking about his lost daughter as the game came to an end. Port Vale won at a canter and DC now has 2 Wembley play off final wins on his CV

I had no clue he'd lost his daughter, as the father of two girls (20 & 8) respectively' hearing that broke my heart I feel so humble tonight

Congrats to DC. A letter from him I got all the way over here from when he was the Rovers manager is one of my prized possessions. UTG!

I've been thinking about these league 2 playoffs and I couldn't call it as I think all 4 are closely matched but I want to put my neck on the line so here it goes... Mansfield vs Northampton - Northampton ended the season in better form but ultimately have a big mental barrier to overcome after losing out on the last day of the sesaon in unfortunate fashion really. I think Mansfield might edge it. Port Vale vs Swindon - 2 ex gaffers of ours in charge. I feel Garner's Swindon have played some good stuff this season to pay them their due but I'm not sure Garner has the personality to get across to these players to do it in a knockout format like this where the pressure will be on. I think they might crumble. DC, on the other hand has come through a very difficult period in his life and I think the players will run through a brick wall for him. Port Vale had a bad spell of 3 defeats on the spin leading in to the Exeter game but that win should give them a lot of confidence and I think DC returning could give them the boost they need to get over the line. He also has playoff winning experience (hehe!) and I think Mansfield could run out of steam after having so many games in a short space of time at the end of the season. I will be so pleased for the bloke if this does prove to be the case. Feel free to bump the above if I look a tit as both matches could easily go the other way. Up the GGMI! BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!!! Bump that bastard!

Up the GGMI! BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!!! Bump that bastard! How much did you win? Just over £100. Did a £10 acca with Ukraine to win Eurovision, Sunderland to win L1 Playoffs and Liverpool to win the FA Cup. Better than a kick in the teeth 😁

Very emotional time for DC as he seemed to be thinking about his lost daughter as the game came to an end. Port Vale won at a canter and DC now has 2 Wembley play off final wins on his CV Didnt realise it was his daughter. As a father of two girls I’m really gutted for him. Not sure how I would cope. I’m so glad he gained promotion in this style again. he deserves every good fortune coming his way in life moving forward.

Guys does it feel a little strange we aren’t making our way to Wembley now - that would have been beyond our wildest dreams not so long ago. Instead we bask in the sunshine not caring who wins really and hoping for a Real Madrid victory Speak for yourself, i always want the team from this country to win. I do like Klopp too

To be fair you beat Swindle in the semi's then your fans needlessly attacked their players, what do you really expect?

Fair play DC. How….I mean….losing a child, just….how would you go on? If I lost my daughter I’d put money on I’d struggle to not want to go and join her.
To come back and get promoted - while this is insignificant in light of his tragedy, that’s some feat.
That is nothing anyone should ever go through. The poor guy.
