Very interesting tweet from Alex Rodman;
What a day! Without doubt the best culture, Team spirit and working environment I have ever been part of during my career. A pleasure to be involved with such a special group. Unforgettable memories and scenes yesterday. UP THE GAS.
At 35 not sure we will see him play again but you never know, Joey likes a good professional.

I think Rodman will make an excellent coach. I think he was doing some work with the younger players while he was injured, and he also gets a lot of praise as our Education Ambassador with the Community Trust. It would be good to keep somebody of his calibre within the club.

It would be good to keep somebody of his calibre within the club. The problem is that as mere supporters we don't know who are good or bad coaches. Manse and Parrinello were well liked and highly regarded, but Joey didn't think they were winners, or at least could make players winners. It will definitely be interesting to see if the likes of Hulbert, Phillips, Mehew or Lainglas get their deals extended. I suppose the question is if Joey thinks they are able, ready, or just not ready yet.

His track record with his off-field activities is clearly evidence that he understands and excels in the people side of things, for sure. He sets a great example.

Rodman is exactly the kind of intelligent professional we would benefit from retaining in the club's structure. He is passionate, motivational, has represented the players on complex issues more than once and even proved himself as an excellent match day commentator. Plus, Tilly would be heartbroken if he left Keep him on along with Whelan.

He took over a team at the bottom of the league, devoid of confidence and probably low on ability and kept them up! I am sure there are a few managers not a million miles away who couldn't do that! I am sure if Gloucester City chairman decided to throw £2 million at the project next season then Manse's team might sneak promotion in the last few minutes of the season, if the opposition play half their youth team!(sic)

Would love to see Rodman stick around as a coach and club ambassador (if he is indeed retiring), seems a genuinely likeable, knowledgeable and professional chap.
Also for him to say this is the best group he has been involved with is saying something. He must have been a professional for 15+ years and already has a couple of promotions on his CV so that says a lot about JB, his back room staff and the rest of the playing squad.

I think Rodders would make an excellent coach and he seems to get on very well with JB.
Assuming he doesn't want to carry on his playing career elsewhere, I think he'll still be here in some capacity.

The ethos and culture of a club is important, regardless of which level of the pyramid they are in.

I did get a couple of hugs from him, my hair got caught on his stubble (no smutty jokes please!) - he is a fantastic person, and has done a few really kind things for me this season. Yes - I am standing on a little stool, it just happened to be there, I don't carry it around with me in case a photo opportunity arises! Apologies for the state of my hair - I was hot and sweaty, it was an exhausting day for me, but wouldn't have missed it for the world. The other lump in the photo is my son.

Alex has his own Financial Advice business - Think he will be working on that full time going forward.

I have problems with my inner ear, I know exactly what he's going through, one minute you can be fit as a fiddle next minute you can't move, I haven't had an episode in 3 years now, I was being violently sick every other day about 10 years ago then it all stopped them 4 years ago it came back and lasted 6 months.
