Good stuff, good to know the reasons behind his lack of availability over the last few years, not everyone was very charitable re his lack of game time, now we all have a better understanding of what he has gone through, good luck to him, shame he wont be involved at Rovers in some capacity, perhaps he could be our financial advisor!

A decent interview, good that supporters now know what has been behind his absences. An honest view of how the club has changed during his time, lots of plus points, and good to see mentions of Garner and Cougs from a player's point of view too.
I'm sure that Rodders will go on to be successful in the other areas which he is pursuing.

What is everyone’s obsession with Rodman? Just because he’s smarter than the average footballer he’s heralded as some sort of Bristol Rovers intellectual . We paid him to kick a ball not prove his IQ is above that of the average knuckle dragger. A waste of money almost of Bennett proportions. Get rid.

To be fair he never asked to be poorly, people might laugh at vertigo but should you get it, you wouldn’t want it back.

Great interview and can't help but feel for the guy.
Would have fitted in nicely at RWB for Joey I reckon. Can't accuse him of being a let down when he could play

If you read the article, he's retired, so no need to "get rid", and clubs can't just throw a player on the scrapheap when they have medical issues. As for his intelligence, what's the harm in acknowledging that he's been smart enough to study, and to lay the groundwork for a career outiside football - a good example for our younger players, hence why he was chosen as the club's Education Ambassador.

I hate this attitude that because someone is injured or ill you should just get rid because they are paid to kick a ball. So if you were unfortunate enough to have a long term injury, or illness, your employer is within there right to just sack you off? Or would you expect them to support you through it?

Honestly it’s up there with one of the worst takes on this forum and that is against a hell of a lot of competition. Such disrespect and lack of understanding. Thanks Rodders and good luck in the future
