As I recall, from my seat in the stand, FGR commenced the invasion onto the pitch and then proceeded to climb on top of the cross bar and net, yet nothing was / is being done about Cotswolds gentry. Yet Bristol's finest who stood back and watched so called offended people, which fortunately being offended is not illegal, topple, roll and push a statue into the docks, subsequently declare in a court of law that four or so token defendants were innocent; however, a few old tote-enders literally wonder onto a football pitch, at the end of a match dressed in celebratory Richard I regalia, are arrested and subsequently banned from attending future matches. Ffs. Let it go. You cannot compare. Whether the Colston 4 got away with it or not depending on your views - or anyone elses for that matter - has no bearing on the pitch invasion and the outcome. Miscarriages of justice or variances in fines/sentences that raise eyebrows have and always will happen

Ffs. Oh FFS here we go again. Why do people always have to shoehorn the Colston statue into every conversation hahaha.. the Colston 4 living in their heads rent free. Delicious You have to realise that it's not ok for other people to be offended by things he is not offended by, but it is ok for him to be offended by things that other people are not offended by. I think.

Going back on point..
The pitch invasion thing is something that has crept back in with pure joy being given as the reason. However I have just watched the Dagenham game and I thought it was interesting that when Brown scored about 5 people ran over to the players, everyone stayed in their places until the full time whistle. So this must be premeditated actions and nothing to do with some kind of outpouring of emotion.

My own view is that the lockdowns affected many more than is admitted and that lots was pent up tedium and even anger. You only have to look on the socials to see the hate and even when not directing replies at some who replied. I did notice the Daggers comparison too.
