Seeing as we are in the quiet season on here, What do we think of it?
I think it is embarrassing to be honest. They won 2 tinpot cups (yes the FA Cup is pretty tinpot nowadays) both on penalties without scoring a goal and ultimately failed to win the 2 big ones they wanted. 3 finals without scoring a goal, yet we say how good they going forward? I'm a bit puzzled by that to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, they've had a good season, Klopp is a great manager. But a trophy parade is too far.

I disagree. BRFC first team is more authentically Scouse than L’pool and is good going forward. Compare and contrast…as it’s exam season. 😂

Not a Liverpool fan, but the FA cup is still a major trophy and I doubt you will be calling it tinpot if we are drawn against a big team next season. The League cup is still a great competition. They also finished within a point of the champions and they narrowly lost in the champions league final. They have had an amazing season and have took part in an amazing title race. They have won two major trophy’s so why shouldn’t they parade Them?

GGMI please do not delete this and repost to the main board again, it was moved for a reason. A bullshit reason at that. Clearly the powers that be think the discussion of a Netflix documentary is more worthy of gaschat discussion? If I compare Barton to Klopp then will it stay in that section?

Almost as embarrassing as Exeter having an open top bus parade for finishing 2nd in L2.
I bet there were quite a few in the Liverpool crowd who went home without wallets...

I am no fan of Liverpool FC, the media darlings have no shame.
However didn't we have an open top bus parade after we beat Grimsby on penalties in the Conference Final? Thats more tinpot.
They still won 2 'major' trophies at the end of the day.

It doesn’t have a lot to do with Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool city council had a decision to make. No parade - even though LFC may have won the Champions League 24 hours earlier or have a parade knowing LFC might have ‘only’ 2 cups to go around with. The would have had to plan for probably 1, 000,000 people gathering around the city, as you can imagine this is a huge logistical challenge for any council. It had to be the day after the Champions league final because the players were off on holiday or joining their international teams on the Monday.
