He had a league 2 contract of some kind from a club who are known to offer decent contracts. If he's been that poorly paid he could always retire and try his luck in a proper job. Are you trying to say that being in the football profession is not a proper job, tell that to football players, coaches and managers ,I am sure at least some would be very offended. Some might be but most would agree being a pro footballer on £100K p.a. is a great job they wouldn't want to change. Rodman is probably the perfect example of somebody who could be paid decent money outside of football but still finds being a footballer more attractive.
