Belshaw 8 M.o.M kept the score respectable with little help from a fragile defence Gibbons 6 gave his man acres of space Hoole 6 a centre back for the future maybe,not now, not in league one. Connolly 6 missing the big man. Clarke 6 some good runs but when FGR doubled up on him he was less effective Rossiter 4 poor, gave the ball away and was well off the pace. Westbrooke 4 poor, him and Rossiter instead of Coutts and finlay made it so weak in midfield Evans 6 not at his best Anderson 7 full of energy, brought a good save and generally looked good. Marquis 6.5 our poor midfield gave him no service and his frustration was obvious. Collins 7 a well taken goal and put in a good shift Subs: Saunders 7 improved the attacking force. Loft 7 as Saunders Ref 5 fussy and allowed his assistant to make offside decisions that were blatantly wrong FGR 7on the day better than us and a sublime winner |

Westbrooke.1.Honestly didn't realise he was playing until he came out second half and I saw his name on his shirt.
Evans.6.Quality there but played too deep late on.
Anderson 7.Worked his socks off.
Marquis 4.Very slow and ineffective but in fairness he had no supply without a midfield.
Collins.5.Limited supply.Good goal.
Saunders 6.
Loft 6.Worked hard and got stuck in.

FGR 7.Deserved their win .Slicker than us.Not sure what the stats say but our shots on goal were very few.Our goal came from a long Belshaw Hoof!!!

Gibbons solid in defence little in attack 6
Hoole didnt look out of place in the centre, but away from home against a top attacking team, not so sure.6
Connolly at 20 leads our defence, not his best game but good all the same 7
Clarke first half looked dynamite tackled well and plenty of skill on show but faded 6
Rossiter laborious in midfield he needs to step up through the gears much quicker. 4
Westbrooke I wanted him to do well, he didn't 4
Evans tried hard but couldn't carry the midfield on his own.7
Anderson flashes of his best in the second half but not enough in the first 6
Marquis needs better service but not his day today. 6
Collins great goal covered up a frustrating performance, gave the ball away too often. 6
Subs: Saunders cameo performance that looked like he wanted to impress. 7
Loft can't fault his effort and very unlucky not to have scored. 7
Ref 0k but let down by poor linesman6
FGR hard to tell they were a team who lost their manager and best four players, better then us. 7

Belshaw 8 - kept us in it with 5 or 6 decent saves.
Gibbons 7 - kept us in it with some goal saving blocks and having watched the highlights back created a couple of great chances second half too.
Hoole 6 - Matt is a handful and to be fair Hoole didn't do too bad against him. Needed to be quicker in possession though.
Connolly 5 - I thought he was a bit sloppy today with the ball, maybe ill if the rumours were right? Also needed to be quicker in possession though.
Clarke 5 - was a threat for the first 30 mins and then faded, didn't form much of a partnership with Collins.
Rossiter 4 - looked exactly what he is, a player trying to find fitness and his touch after a pre-season injury.
Westbrooke 4 - I can't remember anything of note. Anonymous.
Evans 5 - struggled to get in the game and have an influence on it.
Anderson 5.5 - worked hard without any real output bar one shot. Looked better running deep from left back.
Marquis 5.5 - a willing runner but had little service. Held it up well at times but didn't have much around him to play off.
Collins 6 - didn't link up enough with Clarke, looked better second half when playing off Saunders pace
Subs:
Saunders 7 - made a positive impact with his pace and gave them something to think about.
Loft 5.5- didn't really win too much when he came on, but was willing to put himself about and pose a bit more of a physical threat to their defence.

Belshaw 7 - without his saves we would of been well beaten
Gibbons 5.5 - some promising signs and should improve when settled in
Hoole 5.5 - not too bad seeing not used to the role. Distribution could of been better. Tended to rely on the longer ball too much.
Connelly 6 - not the same standard as last season
Clarke 6.5 - provided most of the attacking threat and urgency in the first half.
Rossiter 4.5 - started off quite well but faded badly and was a liability defensively in the second half and added nothing going forward. Not surprising giving his lack of match fitness.
Westbrooke 3.5 - I really was hoping that he would take this chance to showcase his ability. However was far too pedestrian, playing the easy short or backward pass and showed as much passion as a dead fish (sorry I did not mean to insult fishes).
Evans 5.5 - flashes of his usual ability but was off the pace
Anderson 5.5 - a bit like Evans, we only saw glimpses of what he is capable of.
Marquis 5 - didn't look match fit and struggled particularly after half time. Could of defended better when they scored their first goal.
Collins 5.5 - not as involved as usual but did take his goal well
Subs:
Saunders 6 - great assist for our goal but then not involved as much after
Loft 5 - adds a big presence but referees tend to blow up every time he gets near an opposition player
