According to WhoScored (must've played in 3 apps), our top three players this season have been:
1. Aaron Collins 2. Antony Evans 3. Ryan Loft
Worst Three:
1. Glenn Whelan 2. Luke McCormick 3. Harvey Saunders
Thoughts?

Amazed that Evans makes the 'Best Three' as by his own very high standards he has been disappointing so far.
I think I would struggle for three ...AC / RL and maybe 'belly' as although again not been to his usual high standards he has saved us on more than occasion already this season.
Very sad though that its a struggle to find three.
For the Worst three...
1. John Marquis 2. Harvey Saunders 3. Any of the others not mentioned already.
We have four or five each game struggling at the moment with Midfield really not working as it should.

Only Collins and Loft have done really well consistently. Belshaw has been excellent in some games and looked a bit shakey in others.
The rest have all underperformed.
The team and formation is constantly changing like it was this time last season and that’s partly down to injuries and suspensions again but also Barton has to take some flak for it.
Saturdays selection was baffling and we lost that game when he picked the team and formation.
We need to go back to basics this Saturday.

I bet McCormick is worried that the threepeat may be on

Is an over performer someone who’s better than you think they are? 🤔

McCormick has played about 1.5 games and is already underperforming? Surely to be assessed a player must have at least 5 appearances.

In that time LM has only played 152 minutes with 124 of those split between Ipswich and Lincoln so it was never gonna be great.

McCormick has not even been fit to play at his best but has played because we are so badly affected by injury. I’d suggest that we all wait and then make our own minds up, when we have whatever our best line up can be. Personally i have no worries about his ability but i do worry that he could be affected by being in a team that is so very leaky. Losing, like many other things, can become a habit. I am more worried about the manager saying that we can’t expect improvement until we have the players back.

He’s it played badly at all so far in the home appearances I witnessed - was surprised he was taken off on Saturday as he was a threat.

Belly,Collins and Loft the latter looks a different player from the one we first signed. Evans,Marquis and Coutts have all under performed this season IMO

Overperformers? Currently only Collins look L1 class.
Pretty much the entire team are either underperforming or simply not good enough based on what we've seen so far.
6/10, Belshaw - Not too bad and still rightly our No.1, but not reached last year's standards yet. 4/10, Hoole - Asked to play right side centre back and so far, looks like a player learning on the job. 6/10, Gibbons - Looked promising before injury struck. 5/10, Connolly - Adjusting to life without Taylor, didn't look as solid as last season before injury struck. 4/10, Kilgour - No real surprise that it looks like he will struggle at this level. 4/10, Thomas - Personally thought he was shocking against Stanley. Early days, but not a patch on Taylor so far. 4/10, Gibson - Didn't really have time to find his feet before injury struck. 4/10, Gordan - Shows potential but doesn't look ready to be first choice in L1 yet. 4/10, Clarke - At times looks good, particularly going forward but has obvious weaknesses. 3/10, Coutts - In a team of underperformers he's probably the most disappointing. Really poor so far. The pace of L2 football looks too quick for him. 4/10, Rossiter - Have seen very little to suggest he's going to make much impact. 1/10, Westbrooke - Is he still here? 2/10, Grant - Will he ever play again? 5/10, Finley - Just bang average so far. Not as bad as some but still not reached the performance levels he showed last season. 4/10, Whelan - Not done too bad when called upon but he's nearly 40 and understandably struggles to keep up with the pace of the game. 4/10, Evans - Only shown flashes of the quality he showed consistently last season. Really need him to hit form soon. 3/10, McCormick - Missed out on pre-season and still adjusting to life back at Rovers but so far, not good enough. A shadow of the player we had on loan. 4/10, Anderson - Always give 100% and happy to play in a number of positions but not really excelling in any so far. 4/10, Saunders - Another who shows great energy but he doesn't look like he has the quality to play in L1. 5/10, Jasper - Looks lively but you can tell he lacks experience. Couldn't get in the starting 11 for a struggling Colchester towards the end of his loan in L2. 3/10, Marquis - Rarely looks like scoring or influencing the game. 6/10, Loft - Has many shortcomings but works hard and has a decent goal record so far. 8/10, Collins - Looks a class above. Always our main threat and consistently out best player.

Marquis is the biggest underperformer based on age, reputation and experience in this league. Literally does not add anything
