Puddy 6 not a lot to do again, but what he had to do he did well Brown 7 defended well and got forward well Parkes 8.5 very good and brought the ball out well McChrystal 8 very solid no nonsense game Lockyer 6 defended ok but not much going forward Monkhouse 7 linked well with Brown as most of our threat was down the left Mansell 6 not at his best, but never hid from the ball Sinclair 7.5 usual display, passing a bit off Gosling 5 not as good as of late, good delivery for the second Blisset 5 scored a lovely header, but overall game not to clever Taylor 5 scored but link up play not at his best
Harrison 5 some nice touches around there box Goldberg 4 settled for what we got by the time he came on,so a bit isolated Clarke not on long enough to mark
DC 7 nothing fancy today,a comfortable win, felt we could of gone up a couple of gears if needed
Ref 7 one of the better ones
Nuneaton 5 workmanlike but no punch up front

PUDDY.Nothing to do but coped well and distribution excellent. 7 BROWN. Authorative and better with him in the side. 7.5 LOCKYER.Great tackling. Not the best distributor.Shot late on went out of the ground and ended up in Stratford -on-Avon.6.5 PARKES.Brilliant. 8 .MOM. SINCLAIR.Great second half .7.5 MM.Did everything well.Good to have him with Tottman injured. 7.5 MONKHOUSE. Good but not in the game as much as I'd have liked. 6 MANSELL.Workmanlike .Good passing.7 GOSLING .Skillfull but fades too often and corners not the best. His 'charge' across the pitch contributed to Mansell's opener.6.5 BLISSETT.Terrible first touch but worked hard and posed a threat.Missed an open goal.5.5 TAYLOR.The enigmatic Taylor showed lovely touches but wish he posed more of a threat on goal. Can't fault him to-day though. 6. REF.Brilliant.9 ELLIS.Lively but not on for long enough .Would have murdered their right back. NUNEATON'S Ground .Very non league with awful floodlights and the quietest fans anywhere.(although they had little to cheer). No programmes for sale?

Puddy 7 He made about three catches and four kicks downfield. I'm going to be generous as it was probably quite cold for him.
Lockyer 6 Started well and defensively untroubled. His passing isn't good enough and as we used him in midfield a division above last season, you can see partly why we struggled. McChrystal 7.5 Dealt with everything (admittedly not much) Nuneaton had Parkes 7.5 Same as Macca Brown 8 Got forward well and linked up with Monkhouse
Gosling 6 Flitted in and out of the game. Took some good corners but often needed to decide what he wanted to do with the ball quicker. Mansell 6.5 I thought he scored the first goal. Some nice passes and tackles, nothing flashly but enough at the end of a busy period. Sinclair 6.5 Got stuck in well as always. Seemed to have less energy than usual. Monkhouse 7 Rarely gives away possession and the cleverest passer in the team. Picks the right balls and laid it on a plate for Blissett in the 2nd half.
Taylor 5.5 Some decent hold-up play but no real understanding with Blissett yet. Needed to either shoot earlier of dribble forward instead of waiting for the right shot. Blissett 5 Got a goal with a good header, but atrocious with his feet today and missed a sitter. Can't be too harsh as I make that 5 in 10 Rovers games this season.
Subs: Goldberg 5 Maybe harsh as he wasn't on for too long, but again showed me nothing to suggest he should start a game Harrison Not on long enough Clarke Not on long enough
DC 8 Picked his best team in their best formation and let them get on with it. Could have used subs to rest players but I guess they get two weeks rest now anyway. Ref 8 Can't remember really any decisions I was aggrieved about. Nuneaton 3 They competed ably in midfield for some spells of the game but offered nothing at all in the final third. The goals were going to come for us eventually and then when we sat back late on they gave no threat to Puddy.

Also they had one box of programmes that ran out almost immediately. Half of it was explaining who the Rovers' players were. You didn't miss anything.

Puddy 6 - Very quiet game for him, but did the basics well. Very good dostribution to set up attacks.
Lockyer 6 - Solid as always. Distribution leaves a lot to be desired though. McChrystal 6 - Solid. Parkes 6 - Solid. Tried to step out of defence and get us going a few times. Brown 7 - Links really well with Monkhouse down the left. Put some dangerous crosses into the box.
Gosling 5 - Not his best game IMO. Tried to over complicate things at times. Mansell 6 - Battled well in the middle and got a goal. Sinclair 6 - Usual high-energy performance. Supported the attacks well and made runs beyond the forwards. Monkhouse 7 - A little wasteful in a few good crossing positions but a constant threat to Nuneaton.
Taylor 6 - Good movement and linked up with Blissett nicely at times. Blissett 6 - Mixed bag game for the big man. Very poor on the deck yesterday but a brilliant headed goal and could have had a Hattrick.
Subs: Goldberg 4 - Didn't have long to make an impact but I'm not convinced by him. Harrison 5 - Would have liked to see him come on a bit earlier to use his pace. Clarke 5 - Not a lot of time.
DC 8 - Lineup spot on. Ref 7 - No complaints. Nuneaton 6 - Clearly limited in talent, but a solid and organised side. Really friendly club.

Puddy 6 Assured performance with not alot to do.
Lockyer 6 Better on the right needs to feed Gosling earlier. McChrystal 7 Mr reliable Parkes 8.5 MOM Quality display bang in form. Got to keep him here for rest of season. Brown 7 Linked up well with Monkhouse most of our threat came from the left.
Gosling 6 In and out of the game as are most wingers, great delivery for Blissett goal. Mansell 7 Stuck to his task well, won his battle. Sinclair 7.5 Has the heart of a lion, love him in a gas shirt. Monkhouse 7 Linked up well with Browner. starting to prove his worth.
Taylor 6 Worked hard for team, partnership with Blissett needs a lot more work on the training ground. Blissett 5 Great headed goal but struggled on the whole to make an impact.
Subs: Goldberg 6 Harrison 5 Clarke 5
DC 8 tactics spot on again. Ref 8 One of the best we have had this season apart from Turkey away IMO. Nuneaton 6 going down for sure.
