Just got in work and no MDT started yet? What the hell let’s give it a go, what’s the worst that could happen eh! 😂 Hopefully a nice comfortable win today with a few players starting to come back I feel that we will have enough in the locker to put Cambridge away. Prediction. 3 - 1 Gas ( just for a change!) it’s gonna happen one day. Come on Rovers come on you blues, let’s be avin you!

Will be interesting to see the line up today
Will we go 3-4-3 again?
If so it will possibly look like
Belly
Hoole Thomas Gordon
McCormick Finley Rossiter Evans/Clarke
Marquis Loft Collins
Or maybe 4-2-3-1
Belly
Hoole Gibson Thomas Gordon
Rossiter Finley
Collins Evans Jasper
Loft
Plenty of options!!
Need our creative players to start performing now, after a bad run of home results it’s time to turn the corner
4-1 incoming
UTG

Winning starts by being able to defend. So can we defend today?
A few returned with run outs in Tuesdays reserve team game and others reported to be back in training.
Are they match fit enough?
Find out later
Can’t defend = we will lose

Would prefer to see 4 at the back with Gibson or Gibbons coming back in to join Hoole, Thomas and Gordon (if fit of course) but I know Joey prefers three so expect a similar team to last week. Won’t be too disappointed if it is though as that team and performance was a lot better. And we’ll have a stronger bench.
Big question is, the kids aren’t up for it today, so with a long list of things to do around the house, will my wife by happy with me disappearing for the day and leaving her with them?

Hopefully more options in defence today so maybe back to playing a back four? JB seems to be aiming to have two strikers so I reckon Coburn will start alongside Loft. Rossiter getting more and more games will become a key player for us as the season progresses.
2-0 win. UTG.

If Marshy has started the thread then it’s got to be 3-1 surely!
Actually I do think we’ll win comfortably today - I think the Exeter followed by the ‘cup that shall never be spoken about’ game performances and results are a turning point for us, especially with players returning like we have….
Will be interesting to see how we line up …. Reckon it might be 3-4-1-2 with
Belly
Hoole, Thomas, Gordon
Anderson, Rossiter, Finley, Clarke
Evans or McCormick (can’t decide)
Collins and Loft
Bench: Jaakola, Jasper, Gibbons, Gibson, Coutts, Coburn, Evans or McCormick.
I think Marquis and Kilgour are carrying knocks and with the return of the defensive players we don’t need Whelan to cover… Was tempted to put Gibson in from the off and start with 4 at the back but after the time out it’s still probably better to ease them back in… I do expect to see Coburn to get some decent minutes from the bench as well as Gibbons and Gibson….

The options on the bench, along with our decimated defence has really been wide open for all to see. You're right...we have so much more now in every position. Get out and at them early, calm the crowd nerves and we'll be fine. As for your wife...sneak out. Best way. 😁

Leaves a space for Whelan to come back on the bench….

After a couple of decent performances thought posters would be queuing up for this one, seems not, so Marshy to the rescue, good luck mate, come on Rovers, just get them 3 pts, it's been a while! great chance to kick start the season.
