Belshaw 7 absolutely NOTHING to do
Gibbons 6.5 down slightly for losing the ball so much in the 1st half
Gibson 7 nothing caused him any issue
Thomas 6.5 like Gibson but too many poor long balls
Gordon 7 involved, solid, too many backward passes
McCormick 3 very poor and uninvolved
Rossiter 7 starting to see the real Rossiter now and I like it
Coutts 7 dictated play
Collins 6.5 some moments of pure class but not as many as expected against shocking opposition
Coburn 4 fed off scraps but didn’t create anything himself
Loft 6.5 put himself about

Anderson 9 great cameo, could do no more

Belshaw 7 nothing much to do apart from save straight at him.
Gibbons 7.5 nice understudy to Luca, being left footed on the right
Gibson 7.5 stood firm.
Thomas 7 tough cookie.
Gordon 7 flitted about a bit.
Rossiter 8 was involved, securing his position.
Coutts 8 m o m was excellent with his tempo, ball winning and doing the simple passes to keep ball rolling.
McCormick 6 not his best. Poor shot way over.
Coburn 6.5 tried to make nuisance, but great pass out to Aaza for the cross across the box
Loft 7.5 great effort, he's too fast because the keeps touch took his slide away from him!
Collins 7.5 another great engine high performance.
Subs: Finley 8 made huge difference.
Evans 7.5 great assist for the penalty claim
Hoole 8 brought ball out well looked composed and commanding.
Anderson nole.
Ref 7.5 decent but issues cards like Paul Daniels when I thought Lofty should have been booked 5 mins in...
Thieving MkD. 4 they look like what we were like in 2020. Doomed if no one pills a finger. Their commentary had it spot on....not bad individual players, can't play as a team.
They shouldn't have a team
They stole their identity.
No sympathy.
Have to say JAB played a blinder in managing out this one....his rotation was experimental with players coming back from injury and damage limitation with nullifying MkD....then bringing on the big guns to get result and see out the match.
The right subs at the right time...

Belshaw 7 virtually unemployed Gibbons 7 settled back in and looked good Gibson 8 a commanding game and was denied a goal with a brilliant save from Dons best player Thomas 7 another booking but his usual physical game. Gordon 6.5 neat and tidy Rossiter 8.5 M.o.M sets the hard example, gets stuck in ,an all round battler that every team needs to be successful Coutts 8 probably his best game of the season McCormick 6 ok, but nowhere near the standard we know he can achieve Coburn 6.5 a relatively quiet game but some decent linkup play, Loft 8 a strong game,he won a deserved penalty and a thorn in the Dons defence all game Collins 7 his usual quality and strong running. Subs: Finley 8 the game changer, we went from 2nd ear to overdrive when he came on. Evans 7 he's gradually getting back to last seasons form, the penalty was cooly taken which will boost his confidence. Hoole 7 slotted in seamlessly. Anderson 7 helped to see the game out. Ref 7 decent,maybe a bit too keen to get the card out but got most things right MK 4 awful, a pale shadow of last season. |
