Belshaw not his best game 6
Gibbons shocker for the first 4 Hoole far too weak, tentative with the easiest of passes and nervousness rubbed off. Really poor on the 3rd goal 2 Thomas was doing ok until his mistake put the game beyond us. Too many aimless balls.a point for the goal 4 Gordon better then Clarke but not strong enough in defence offered nothing going forward 4
Rossiter worked hard but offered nothing going forward 5 Finley oh dear turned into problems several time looked slow and part of an outplayed midfield 4 Evans needed much more from him and defensively too often out of position. Nice penalty 5
McCormick offered little not his day 4 Coburn ran hard won a penalty but needed to do more when through on goal and had Collins in the clear 5 Collins chased hard but little end product 5
Subs: Connolly the best part of the game, position, tenacity and control 7 Clarke poor from the moment he came on 4 Sinclair some nice touches and one well saved shot but a brief cameo 6 Saunders nole
Ref he booked two players for wasting time but not strong enough to address it properly. 4 Derby why a team at home winning 4-2 in front of 24k of their fans serve up a second half performance of non footballing wasting time, we lost it with 4 atrocious defensive areas, punished by a great finisher 5

Belshaw 5
Gibbons 4 Hoole 1 Stand in right back please dont play him at centre back ever again. Thomas 6.5 Gordon 3 Not strong enough defensively but better than Clark.
Rossiter 6.5 Finley 5 Poor game by his high standards Evans 5.5
McCormick 4 Coburn 5 Collins 5.5
Subs: Connolly 8 Clarke 2.5 Sinclair 6 Saunders on too long. Sorry but adds nothing to the team
Ref 4 Please tell me what was the difference between Collins breaking Clean through and hassling their centre half and their centre forward on their third goal hasling Thomas. Second goal looked a yard offside. Referees performance didnt help but individual mistakes behind the defeat.
Derby 6.5

Belshaw 7 not to blame for any of the goals Gibbons 5 a suicidal pass intended for a shaky Hoole was asking for trouble, otherwise an ok game Hoole 4 he isn't a centre back especially against two big experienced forwards, it was an accident waiting to happen. Thomas. 6 out muscled which cost a needless goal ,he partly atoned with a goal. Gordon 5 not strong enough, decent on the ball but defensively weak. Rossiter 6 battled well but without Coutts in the team should be deployed further back Finley 5 he didnt lack effort but little went right for him. Evans 6 he isnt influencing games like last season. Good penalty. McCormick 5 largely anonymous and a shadow of the player we had two years ago Coburn 5 he won the penalty but little else went his way. Collins 6 he tried to get things moving but both him and Coburn sadly missed Loft. Subs: Connolly 7.5 everything improved when Beefy came on, his strength and influence showed how much we've missed him. Clarke 5 he was doing ok until he got crudely clattered by a foul that,on any other day would and should have been a red card. Sinclair 7 a quality cameo and very nearly scored with a delightful chip superbly saved. Saunders n.o.l.e. Ref 4 missed a lot from both sides. Derby 6 Christmas came early for them,we made them look far better than they are.

Belshaw 7 never at fault.
Gibbons 5 gave ball away. Hoole 4 could only wish he got near the ball. Thomas 5.5 gifted the ball away(+.5 for the goal). Gordon 4 flashed away.
Rossiter 7 nice. Finley 5 spice. Evans 5.5 one nice slice.
McCormick 3 was he on? Coburn 7 always on. Collins 6.5 I want what he's on.
Subs: Connolly 7.5 m o m composed. Clarke 4 compost Sinclair 7 composer, almost orchestrated one back. Saunders nole.
Ref 4 missing tons again. One goal possible offside and again manhandling against you obviously gets fouls awarded against you too!? Derby 7 managed their game effectively. Yes our mistakes let them in, but we couldn't contain their front 2 or their number 18. On this performance, they are definitely outside candidates for promotion, but we'll see if their books balance as well as their on field players do... ?

The starting XI average was 4.67.
Belshaw 5.4
Gibbons 4.4 Hoole 2.8 Thomas 5.5 Gordon 3.8
