The draw for the second round of the Papa Johns Trophy will take place on Friday evening.
It will be shown live on Sky Sports Football following coverage of the Championship match between Birmingham and Sunderland, which kicks-off at 8pm.
This stage of the competition remains regionalised and the Gas cannot be drawn against Plymouth Argyle, who topped their pool.
It means that Rovers potential opponents in an away encounter are Colchester United, Milton Keynes Dons, Stevenage, AFC Wimbledon, Forest Green Rovers, Chelsea U-21 and Ipswich Town. If it is Chelsea U-21 side it would be a home tie.
The Papa Johns Trophy round of 32 fixtures will take place in the week commencing November 21.
So this probably means there will be one away match this month after the fortunate sequence of four home and cup fixtures.

It’ll be Chelsea.
5 home games in a row. Amazing.
Zero travel, we should be well fresh heading to Bolton!

Maybe its cos I am really dull but would love to know the cost/benefit for these types of scenarios! is there more money to be made from a home tie, additional gate money and the potential to progress into the next round? Is the cost of hosting at home and losing money on expenses when only a 1000 turn up and pay lower than the costs of team travel etc to somewhere like Ipswich?! God I am dull

Shame about the FA cup, because even the semifinals used to be exciting for neutrals. I adopted West Ham as my 2nd Team due to the 1980 Final against Arsenal. Father and I spent the entire day infront the tv watching interviews, quarter finals, semi finals highlights, it was a whole day of excitement. Now I'd rather go to the pub and give it a miss.

Hey everyone, don't forget that the long awaited draw for the PJT Round of 32 takes place at some unearthly hour tonight.
Rovers will be drawn away from home to either Colchester, AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons or Stevenage. So that will be fun!
Cheers, Rod
