Unbelievably they are blaming the midget on one turd for their continued demise. Hopefully Pearson will take them down this season to put them out their misery On twitter they’re blaming the Man who has propped them up for years with his billions, rebuilt them a stadium and a state of the art training facility. Genuine question, is there a more self-entitled, arrogant and delusional fan base in the country? They've actually had 2 ...one post 82 and one pre with Harry Dolman. The sense of entitlement runs rife down there. It always reminded me of the spoilt little rich kid at school whom had everything but still moaned... SL will take a step back one day. As will his son. Then reality will bite.

Stadium facilities aside, I really don't envy them at all. You say that but imagine all the advantages of those extra digits

You say that but imagine all the advantages of those extra digits Yeah but it’s not theirs….that stadium is a municipal stadium used for a range of other sports. I’m curious to know, if the lansdown dynasty sells the football club, is it their stadium still? Could potentially the club be sold and they might be left like we were, guffaw, as tenants? SL has already said he wants to sell BCFC, as far as I can see that ground is Bristol sport. If he sold the club, I presume they have some guarantee they can stay? I would p1ss myself if they ended up paying rent to Bristol sport under a new owner. And then we announce the fruit market….

The most maddening thing when they had their cup run was the volume of non Bristol based supporters confusing them with us and saying “they’ve had so much to deal with and now they’ve gone up the leagues” As if they’re some rags to riches story, when the reality is they’ve had a revolving door of money men for 40 years and they’ve spent loads but underperformed.

I did wonder how he could sell the football club without selling the other bits too including Bristol rugby. Add into the mix the stadium expansion plans with Bristol Flyers. At least one party would become tenants unless the buyers became joint owners of Bristol Sports too. Not sure the 'money men' at that end of the football league would buy a club and not want ownership of a stadium too.

Their stadium is not a municipal stadium, it is wholly owned by Steve Lansdown and other shareholders. To my knowledge Bristol City Council have never owned their stadium. As for selling off the football club and retaining the stadium, everything is possible and it has happened many times in football when owners seek to recover their investments. Don't forget, it could happen to us in the future so our elected Supporters Directors will need to be open with the supporters if ever that was proposed.

It might surprise you how many clubs at the very top don't own the freeholds of their stadia. www.propertyweek.com/news-analysis/who-owns-premier-league-stadiums/5090883.articleIf and when we move to the Fruit Market site, it is highly likely that we will also be leasing a stadium. As always, the devil will be in the details of that lease.

I agree that the Fruit Market will be owned by others and not the club per se.

The football club has been bought by a local businessman but the Stadium has been sold to Mike Ashley who has served notice on Cov unless they pay a hugely increased rent.

Yep, the devil was in the detail of the original lease. Coventry sold their soul.
