Hi guys, I was appalled by the club's recent crest attempt. As a designer, I thought I would try my hand at it. Let me know what you think and, if the response is positive, I will send it to Tom Gorringe.

What do you normally design as all you seem to have done is copied another poster, who also put the present "panto" pirate inside the badge circle? Surely if the club are spending their time re-designing the badge the present pirate needs updating?

Good attempt but just highlights to me why the current pirate is not great! Been some very good attempts on one of the other threads

But updating does not mean taking a skull and crossbones from Google. The best logo updates in recent years are modernisations, not overhauls (Re: Leeds). P.s haven't seen the other posters design.

Prefer the original still but think the club should be exploring this kind of concept and not a radical overhaul.

Maybe on a shield instead?
The club seems to be circle averse because supporters said they didn’t want a bland circular based design when what they didn’t really want is the concept that has been delivered,

I do not understand why they just can’t leave the badge alone, just change for changes sake is never a good idea 🤔☹️💙

Totally agree. The pirate stays, I would also incorporate 1883 into the outer circumference of your design and include a background of Blue and White as quartered segments into the outer band.

Rather go back to the quarters of the late eighties/ early nineties myself. I liked the quarters logo with the football inside too. Simple, effective and recognisable. As the only club that plays in quarter shirts, we need to include that on the crest.

I dont follow them, but I hadn't realised that Blackburn have gone to a half and half shirt.
Jeez the only team in the FL in 1/4s then.
