Belshaw 9 m o m kept us in it first half and mom by courtesy of the most consistent all through match, not a foot wrong. Matchsaver!

Thomas 6 erratic.
Connolly 5 ponderous.
Gibson 8 steadying force.

Sinclair 5 offered little (ironically similar to Little a few years earlier).
Coutts 8 excellent skip needless booking but brilliant assist for 2nd..
McCormick 7 tried hard just didn't quite work for him.
Evans 5 missed his boat but second half was inspirational.
Gordon 4 poor and offered nothing. Losing patience and don't get it?

Collins 6 worked hard but not his day.
Coburn 8 never stopped running and played lone striker as gleeming first half light ...

Subs: Hoole 7.5 done well to affect shape change and won his headers but almost got caught once.

Charlton 5 should have put us to the sword, but you can see BG training by playing ball out when not comfy and subsequently paid the price.....we celebrate our tents at mem and marquis away!

Connolly not sure if he was ill but looked off the pace and ponderous on ball too much pointless passing not helped by Coutts constantly coming deep and playing ball back.6
Gibson best game to date looked assured throughout 8

Sinclair poor first half often out of position and not s competent display at wingback. Better second half 6
Coutts overplayed ball in first half, too many loose passes or overshot intended player came to deep closing down the options for Connelly. Better second half when time woke up 6
McCormick he did ok and we need to persevere. Some good tackles neat passing but undermined by sloppy play 6
Evans best of our midfield, second half display gets MOTM for me 8.5
Gordon solid defensively but offered little going forward 6.5

Collins a bad day at the office, didn't close down a sloppy back three. 5
Coburn poor service but did little first half. Second half more involved and posed a bigger threat 7

Subs: Hoole very good in defence and attack after coming on 8
Marquis closed and harried and dragged us back into the game. May have done enough to start next week. 8

Charlton just had to read their fans write up to know they have centrehalves who struggle on the ball and yet it wasn't until marquis came on that we put them under pressure 5
