People keep mentionedinv Rodman to leave on loan, but how is that gonna happen? Not even training as far as I know. He’s waiting to retire once his contract is out.

I wonder with Rodman whether there will be a mutual agreement to leave in January

I wonder with Rodman whether there will be a mutual agreement to leave in January Can’t see him accepting that to be honest. Why rip up probably a couple of grand a week ?

Surely a mutual agreement means he gets a pay off of some kind not just walks away without any payment? If he did he could sign for another club or just start doing whatever he intends doing when he retires.

He’s been unwell for quite a while, takes a while to sort things which suit both parties. He certainly would have wanted to finish his Rover’s career by being back in the squad. Sometimes fate conspires against us.

I heard a while back he’d been suffering from vertigo , I had that myself for about a year bloody horrible everytime i stood up I had to stand still for about 30 seconds while everting span round and my ears sounded like they were in a washing machine. It’s gone now thankfully and I never worked out why it was happening or why it suddenly stopped. I wasn’t having a go at Rodders I just think that a football career is a short one and you take what you can get.

Disappointed to see Alfie go as a gashead and a key contributor to Coughlan's squad. Showed so much promise, such a shame how it went after GC moved on. Clearly passionate about the club but the right call for both parties for him to move on.
Westbrooke must be the last remaining Garner signing. Won't be upset in the slightest to see him leave. However wish him all the best. Quite sad really as he came in with a lot of promise and as a player with a strong reputation. His stint at the gas has tainted that. I will remember him as a headless chicken with a broken compass.

I did it during half-time at the game, and am a bit rubbish on my phone. You're quite right - it make me laugh when people expect a player to walk away, and give up any sort of wage, due to illness or injury. Both Rodders and the club are following the instructions from a medical specialist, and working towards a mutually acceptable agreement. I think it's a rather sad end for somebody who has always given his best in the quarters, and has done a lot of work in the Community during his time at the club. He's been an amazing support to myself and my family during my illness, going above and beyond, and I know that others have had good support from him too.

Yes he seems a good honest professional although I’ve never met him personally, I think Shrewsbury probably saw the better of him as a player than we have as he’s been stricken by injury so much during his time with us which is a shame because when fit he’s a cracking player. It’s so good to hear that you’re in better health now Tilly and I wish yourself and your family a happy new year and hopefully the Gas can put on a show for all of us on New Year’s Day.

After tonight's performance I am not sure we should let Alfie go! Absolutely. Alfie would've been crucified for that Bobby Thomas performance tonight! Will be a real shame to lose one of our last ever home grown players if Alfie does move on with the development squad binned, but I guess developing other club's players for them is progression... Alfie Kilgour was a decent C/B when along side Tony Craig. And a fully fit Rodders would be a solution to the Right wing back problem.

Both can move on now. Have to disagree there with Kilgour he hasn't been the same since Craig left but paired with a similar player I think he would get back to where he was before he was injured. You also have to consider he hasn't had much game time since coming back from injury so perhaps he still off the pace a bit I think the best solution would be to send him out on loan let him get some game time build his confidence then have another look at him in the summer, let's not make hasty decisions just yet and write him off

I take tablets to control it and have been pretty free for about a year but you always fear an attack whilst in a place where you wouldn’t want to have an attack. Hits the confidence to do normal everyday things. So I have sympathy for anyone suffering from it. UTG!
