Gibbons 3 got forward first half poor all round signing.

Hoole 3 caught.
Coutts 3 gave ball away offered little protection.
Finley 4 their commentary said good first half but in truth just not looked the same since Rossiter injury.
Evans 2 should be left back. Left back in Bristol. Should be dropped. Our misery continues.
Sinclair 7 m o m apart from penalty.

Collins 4 nice finish only thing he done.
Coburn 4 not his imposing self.

Subs: Loft 3 not better than his replacement.
Ward 4 looked composed but didn't affect anything.
Anderson 2 missed a free header in 6 years area!?
McCormick 1 rightly booked - his misery continues.

Ref 8 one of the best got everything right that I could see. Sensible. Allowed play to continue.
Morecambe 6 we couldn't cope with their direct style counter attacking precise passing.

We made them look good. No defensive covering. No tracking back. No blocking of shot. A keeper that looked way out his depth and a defensive mid looking ponderous with a non existent defence.

JAB....a shocker! Shameful performance....they say a change is as good as a rest..... after this rest, there definitely needs to be change.

Belcombe - 2 nightmare debut, didn’t look he was going to save anything (and he didn’t)

Hoole - 4 steady enough, didn’t get beat , supported the attack but our system is restraining our fullbacks, they run up a blind alley because of the lack of support and we end up having to go backwards. He stood up well to them bombarding him I thought.
Quansah - 5 maybe strange to day that I thought it was quite an assured debut considering we shipped 5, good on the ball and strong. Possibly committed himself for the 5th.
Connolly - 3 having a terrible season and today was no better. I think he needs taking out of the team.
Gibbons - 5 the only one of the defenders that looks like he wants to do the nasty side of the game, I thought he defended well down his side and at the back post and supported the attack too, but like Hoole at times our fullbacks have no support when they go forwards.

Coutts - 3 slowed the game down too much, and was a little sloppy at times with possession
Finley - 4 just like Coutts he slowed us down at times, but made a couple of good breaks forward in the first half.
Evans - 3 seems to be struggling to get into games. No idea why things aren’t working for him.
Sinclair - 6 aside from the penalty miss he was our best player, got on the ball a lot and we look better with him as a winger instead of a wingback.

Collins - 6 worked hard, got the goal and created a few decent opportunities for himself.
Coburn - 4 morecambe centre halves had done their homework and kept him shackled with some close marking. Too close at times.

Subs:
Loft - 4 makes a difference when he comes on. Adds more of a physical presence.
Ward - 5 added more sharpness into the centre of midfield. I think he should start next week.
Anderson - 3 didn’t add a great deal to the team. Possibly caught out for the 5th leaving Quansah exposed.
McCormick - 3 again didn’t add a great deal, struggling to get some kind of form.
Marquis - not on long enough

Yes we do. Barton brought someone in that he knows after Bond left. I forget his name now.

However I think a few things are important, it’s how we defend and set up as team. At set pieces we do a mixture of mainly zonal with a bit of man for man,, personally I think zonal creates problems and gives players the run on you, we conceded 2 more from setpieces yesterday. Also we’ve seen individual errors that you just can’t legislate for. It’s the constant changing of the personnel who play in defence. We have had no continuity for a while now. Barton has to look at his staff and him too.
