Most new players signed by the gas will probably end up living in portishead. Renting or otherwise. As Harris the snake et al. Used to live there so not a bad place. Shithead players live there to. Including the tin man. Also Marcus Stewart.

Balcombe. 5 . One good save but poor distribution
Gibbons 4 caught out of position and passing was poor
Connolly 3 Loved this guy last season . Can’t believe how many side / backwards passes he is making even when options available ahead. Lacking in confidence and needs a break
Quansah 6 . Won just about every air challenge and was looking to PASS the ball to a BLUE shirt
Gordon 5 Good pace but had nobody to pass to when he did make a good run . Defended well. Needs to work on winning aerial balls
Coutts 3 . As a midfielder. Get the ball forwards and win some tackles . Very weak
Finley 2 . How long is JB going to put up with the poor passing ? Lucky not to be sent off after poor ref decision on Lofty .
Ward 7 one of the three bright lights today . Lovely composure on the ball and looked to get forwards. Won some good ball .
Sinclair 6 Made some good runs but link up play was backwards as we had Coburn up front and he was well marked
Coburn 5 struggled to get any space and looked a bit disillusioned.Had a good half chance with Collins cross
Collins 7 Ran around and gave 100% again but was so far out on the right wing ! Put in some lovely balls but would much prefer to see him more inside running at defenders . Why is he taking corners ?
Subs: Loft 6 Couple of half chances . Ref did him no favours
McCormick .4 Too soft and pulled out of challenges . Needs to decide what he wants to do as he has ability but lacks fight
Marquis 4 . Made no impression
Anderson 6 Some great runs and battled to win balls
Bogarde NOLE
Ref 2 Another awful ref who spoils the game for money paying fans . Loved his whistle and fell for MKD time wasting and gave 5 mins E/T !
MK 7 Fair play ! Did a number on our weaknesses! Our disjointed defence and lack of midfield ( Apart from Ward )

Ref. 0 A very poor Rovers performance, not due to the worse referee I can ever remember. Lost control of the players and allowed them to bully him, whistle happy and failed to add on at least another 8 minutes of injury time over both halves of the game. He himself wasted at least five or six minutes himself with his lack of control over the players.
MK 5. Nothing special, our inept performance made them look good, but yet another team rolling around in agony to a man on every challenge made on them.

MK didn't have to do much to win. Go a goal up and put 10 men behind behind the half way line and watch Rovers back four practice passing sideways. Got to back to a back 3 even, if it means playing Hoole at C/B. Three in midfield overrun, means Collins has to come back to get the ball, can't score from there.

Balcombe 6 not at fault with either goal, 1 save, but again just doesn't seem to get anything on goals conceded, not a hand or a bit of cloth or anything...
Gibbons 4 don't get it, still....what PV saw in him I just don't understand?
Connolly 4 one block that went out for corner but gave ball away so much looks like a huge liability match to match.
Quansah (after 3 mins) 6.5 m o m steady.
Gordon 4 a gold medalist in the stop, pass inside and back Olympics.
Coutts 3 a pace lost, a yellow card, offers little protection for defence and looking weathered.
Finley 6.5 a good effort. I would make him captain.
Ward 6.5 nice home debut but didn't affect anything.
Sinclair 6 lovely shimmy but not much else.
Coburn 5 man handled and shepherded.
Collins 5.5 lackluster, but put in some searching cross passes second half.....no one took advantage of.
Subs: Loft 5 didn't do anything of note.
McCormick 5 same as above, losing patience he can do anything for us.
Marquis 4 was he on? Sorry....I meant to put what was he on? Prozac x 10? Horizontal performance.
Anderson 6 will always offer a different outlet and nice to see him back.
Bogarde 6.5 play him again!
Ref 2 usual atrocious, what's all the mother's meetings on pitch?
MK 5 we made them look good but they tried to out-Morecambe us. Their counter 2nd goal achieved that, but play acting and time wasting just added to some desperate play which slowed us further down and they seemed more than happy us having the ball knowing we won't do much with it.
A poor management game by JAB, but fair play I'm now just praying we'll get 5 wins - somehow, somewhere - to secure our mediocrity.

Balcombe 5.5 Not at fault with the goals,his handling was decent but organising ponderous. Gibbons 5 worked hard but not the upgrade on Hoole that he was signed for. Connolly 4 a pale shadow of last seasons player,our problem is we have no natural replacement. Quansah 6, a point deducted for a rash challenge for the penalty but after that gave a strong confident display. Gordon. 4 All opposition sides have sussed him out, sideways and backwards,no end product. Coutts 5 took a knock early on an rightfully subbed at half time. Finley 5.5 little went right lucky he wasnt given a red card late on. Ward 7 M.o.M, showed his class ,lets hope he can stay fit. Sinclair 5 he did little wrong but couldnt use his quality to change the game. Coburn 5 he had no protection from a hapless ref and with Collins out wide had little impact. Collins 6.5 a couple of delightful crosses and and kept going but he was rather wasted out off position. Subs: Loft 5.5 livened it up a bit McCormick 4 a powder puff performance.. Marquis 4.5. couldnt change the game. Anderson 5 he still doesnt look fit but did add some energy. Bogarde n.o.l.e but showed quality in the few minutes he was on Ref 3, Dons 12th man and did his job giving them everything and us nothing. MK 6 the new manager bounce had the desired effect, but even the old manager would have beaten us ! |
