The thread no one wanted! Expect lots of L predictions on here with a few dreaming of a battling draw. Cant make it back to Bristol and will be watching free tv football not iFollow as cant bear watching tonight. Hope that’s enough to spark an unlikely win!

Gas 1 Tractor boys 5 Last time I made a match day thread I think we got a win. Not optimistic today though I’m afraid and not particularly looking forward to the match. It’s one of those we never seem to do well at.

I was literally just typing a new match day thread out, but happy for Gasandelectricity to take this one 😂.
I'll be heading down straight have work and will happily take a 0-0 if offered to me now.
However wouldn't surprise me if we lost 0-3.

From today's EAST ANGLIAN DAILY TIMES
Will the ex-Manchester City and Newcastle midfielder have his group of players pumped up tonight?
Or is this a confidence-shot young team ripe for the beating? We'll see.
Town were comfortable 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture at Portman Road last September.
Hearing Barton talk about his team 'trying to play the right way' and 'having a lot of ball without purpose' is music to my ears.
These are the type of games that suit Town.
The Blues need to win and I think they will. I've gone for 0-3.

Offered the better half to a romantic night on the north terrace, sharing an over priced pasty and luke warm hot chocolate under the flood lights but she kindly declined!
What else do women want!!

I'm expecting a 3-2 Gas victory.
Two great team goals by The Tractor Boys.
For The Gas a disputed penalty, a goal straight from a corner and a weird own goal.
Then again, Aaron, Josh and Beefy to score.

Pessimistic for tonight.
Expect the Tractor boys to score more than one, hopefully not in the first 15 mins so a game can be made of it.
Just want to see us start creating chances again. A goal tonight is important for Saturday. 2 blanks at home in a week will be a proper drag on the atmosphere for the foreseeable.

We are awful at the moment. In the first half on Saturday, a better side would have scored 5. We looked so vulnerable at the back.
I would honestly take us getting through tonight without any injuries or suspensions.

Any idea if Gibbons is suspended now? Or did we appeal? Would love to see Gibson back in contention tonight.

I’m there in hospitality with my boss (who’s an Ipswich fan) - repaying the favour from when he hosted me at Portman Road earlier in the season…Ironically he has said he’s really nervous about facing us tonight as Ipswich are out of form and playing poorly and he thinks we’re one of the best sides he’s seen at Portman Rd this season…
I told him not to worry as we’re in really bad form too and that most of our fan base are only dreaming of a win, hoping for a draw and expecting a loss!
I’m expecting to lose (narrowly I think) and hoping for a draw… either a 2-1 loss or 1-1 draw for me tonight I reckon…

Why do people get hung up on who starts the matchday thread? It makes no difference to the result

Will be there hoping for a battling display that gives some confidence for Saturday.
Would like to see Bogarde start but Barton will probably go for 'Jonah McCormick' and 'Out of form all season Evans'.
Probably should start Balcombe after Saturday but don't be surprised if Belly is back and confusion reigns again with Connolly wearing his clown shoes and a squirty flower.
FFS ... Come on Guys just get stuck in and look like you want it as much as we do. Getting there way too early as my guys are working in hospitality again...

Nobody has scored more goals away from home than Ipswich, they have the 2nd best away record in L1 and will be all out for a win to keep up with the top 2.
We've been beaten and struggled to create chances against 4 poor sides, so I'm really not expecting much tonight.
I can't remember ever saying this, but I'd almost settle for a much improved performance and a narrow defeat, 1-2 or 2-3.
If we get anything tonight it will be a bonus, but we have a tough run of fixtures at home before the end of the season, and we'll need to pick up points from a few if we're going to stay up.
Fingers crossed we get a morale boosting result tonight which will improve confidence ahead of a big game on Saturday.
