Balcombe 8 Kicking a bit wayward at times but solid otherwise
Gibbons 8.5 Maybe his best performance this season, very encouraging
Quansah 8.5 Really like this lad, our new Connor Taylor
Connolly 7.5 Much better than of late

Bogarde 7 Some good touches, a decent debut and will no doubt get better
Evans 8.5 Nice to see him nearer his best
Anderson 8.5 Gave everything

Ref 8 Missed a few things but he was fair let the game flow. Helped by a couple of linos who were not afraid to flag a foul, made a nice change.

Balcombe 7.5. Some good saves. A couple of stray kicks can be overlooked.
Gibbons. 8. MoM.
Quansah. 8. Very impressive.
Connolly 7.5. Much more like his old self after a poor game Saturday
Gordon. 7.5. Another much improved from Saturday. Looked decent at the back and good going forward.
Anderson. 7.5. Lots of energy
Evans. 8. Excellent. Lots of hard work.
Ward. 7.5. Quietly effective. Like him.
Bogarde. 7.5. Some classy moments especially in the first half, tired in the second.
Sinclair. 7.5. Such a good player.
Collins. 7.5. Ran his socks off. Did I see someone say this was his worst game of the season. Good grief.
Subs.
Hoole. 7.5. Did well.
Coburn. 6.5. Not his night.
Ref. 8. Can he referee all our games please? Didn’t miss much.
Ipswich. 7.5. Good team, solid footballers, none of them seemed to dive or try to con the ref or linesmen. I hope they go up.

Balcombe 8 some good saves but also got a bit lost in his defence.
Gibbons 9 m o m tidied up everywhere, won his battle, pushed forward and switched ...all to great effectiveness. This is the player we signed!
Quansah 8 tough and sturdy and almost netted his debut goal.
Connolly 5 liability with his passing.
Gordon 7.5 actually pushed onto his opponent well and tracked. Good strong performance.
Ward 8.5 best of the mid. Composed and assured.
Bogarde 7.5 nice contributions.
Evans 8 more like the Evans of old, has he woken up in time to steal the show? Nice performance of defence mixed with solid forward passing.
Anderson 8.5 ran his socks off and provided just enough threat to make them think.
Collins 9 led the line admirably and almost got another goal/assist. Excellent performance for lone striker.
Sinclair 8.5 excellent holistic performance. Was everywhere and still not frightened to take the game to them. Still in love with that once a match shimmy..
Subs: Coburn 7 provided the battering ram when needed most.
Hoole 8 excellent sub as defended well in position and made some searching passes.
Ref 8.5 I thought one of the best as only got involved when needed.
Ipswich 7 strong, technically strong side. Some big players there we stood up to.
Well done JAB and management for executing a well thought of plan to keep structure in off ball play. The counter almost worked and as game developed, last 20 mins we were the only team to win it...
We saw fight and hard working disciplined approach.... what more really could we ask for in fair way?

Balcombe 7 he seems more settled and looks a very decent keeper. Gibbons 8.5 m.o.m. his best game in the shirt,, full of energy ,strong in the tackle and just as effective in a reorganised defence late on. Quansah 8 he improves with every game. Connolly 7 apart from one potentially fatal error he had a much improved game,maybe having a commanding centre back alongside him,as Taylor was last season is the reason for the return to form. Gordon 7.5 he's looking a much better player and showed he can get forward without the predictable passing back. Ward 8 some lovely touches, he adds plenty to the midfield,lets just hope he stays fit. Bogarde 6.5 a bit raw but obvious potential Evans 8 probably his best game of the season. Anderson 8 welcome back Harry,we've missed you !!! Collins 8 always a threat,he set an opportunity for Coburn that should have produced an attempt on goal. Sinclair 7.5 the usual quality. Subs: Coburn 6 a bit leaden footed, didnt look fit. Hoole 7.5 a good cameo, plenty of strong running Ref 8 very good Ipswich 8 nice to see a side play the game fairly without all the gamesmanship thats crept in this season |
