It’s not happening is it, I noticed TG is already saying ‘IF’ rather than ‘when’ talking about the new stand.

What have I missed ? Had a quick scroll through the posts and some are talking about the fruit market like it’s going ahead and some are talking about the Mem like we’re redeveloping it ? Anything concrete to any of this I haven’t seen anything in the news ?

Went to the launch of Honiton's new floodlights this week.Major job with planning, grants, fund raising etc but the SW Peninsula league require it so it had to be done. Teignmouth, same league have been given two years to bring their set up to current standards having recently been promoted.Great to see these clubs getting on with it and little Beer Albion( club linesmen) have really gone to town with their new clubhouse, changing rooms and stand.Richard Walker heavily involved there. Surely our tent removal can't be THAT difficult?

Anything concrete to any of this I haven’t seen anything in the news ? To summarise. Fruit Market - More chance of Ian Holloway making a comeback in our midfield than this happening. Mem - we've gone from not developing it to a new south stand that could or could not be happening, could or could not be 4000 seats, could or could not be temporary, and could or could not be built in the summer.

Having watched some FA Cup football this week on TV, featuring teams we used to play against it's apparent we don't even register as an embarrassment any more. It's coming to pass that the Rosy cheeked tax exile could have been right in his comment about us all those years ago. Weal's a lovely bloke and done loads for the club and his instagram account but it looks like he's reached the end of this particular evolution. The club are crying out for someone with a can do attitude to get us into the later stages of the 20th Century

I see the Fruit Market appears to have been one of three potential sites identified for a stadium back in 2002. Slow progress! £35 million to build a new stadium in them days we could not afford that then always talking the talk never no action nothing ever changes does it ?

For a change of pace, and for some perspective about our place on this little blue dot, look due West out of your first floor windows. You will see Venus aligned with Jupiter. Beautiful sight, like two shining beacons of hope in a world full of stadium and new stand promises. Thank me later.

Regardless we've no real idea what Wael's plans are for Rovers just because a few posters who are clearly not ITK feel he's losing interest.

I think I'm one of the gasheads that have pretty much given up on seeing any significant change at the club. Like I said Wael's a great bloke, so was Geoff Dunford, Dennis Dunford and Nick Higgs. Yet none of them could ensure the club moved forward in terms of facilities or playing standards. Having been a gashead for 50 years next month it saddens me to see us playing a poorer standard of football in a considerably worse stadium.

The Swindon owner seems to do a lot of talking but doesn't seem to achieve a lot, they only have an outside chance of making the play offs this season, having sold all their best players last summer.

IN RESPONSE TO A QUESTION ABOUT POTENTIAL DELAYS IN THE PLANNING PROCESS FOR THE PROPOSED NEW STAND. David Bright replied,: "We’ve started the conversations and we have good people working on it for us, we hope to be able to keep pace on the project." No chance. Needed to be submitted last year with current delays and if their current team aren’t local they won’t know that. Perfect excuse to be able to blame it on planning rather than anything else though when it all goes tits up…
