As some fans seems to know a lot about the club secretary leaving before it was announced. Is there anyone with any updated info on the south stand ?. It is now 5 weeks and it's gone a bit silent. This project I.M.O will be exciting and will boost capacity and S.T sales . Any updates ? Sex Pistols " There's no point in asking you (i) get no reply !. genius.com/Sex-pistols-pretty-vacant-lyrics

Not wanting to grow the FM thread anymore than necessary, starting a new one here - NO NEED TO MENTION THE FM HERE! Be interesting what sort of cap it could possibly have and how much that would increase total - what are current South and SW stand capacities? - assuming in can go all the way round in an L shape that should add at least 50% - if we can go higher (bring forward and move pitch North) possibly more If you search temp stands, this is about the only company that comes up www.glevents.co.uk/solutions/sporting-events/football/Some seem a little more permanent than I'd expect! Over a month and not even an artists sketch. We might have been had, lads

Reading about this refurb job makes me a bit sad. I can't get excited about it. Can go to some games and there is next to nobody really sat in the south stand.
Is there anybody on here that doesn't already sit in the south stand going to be moving into the new one?

Is there anybody on here that doesn't already sit in the south stand going to be moving into the new one? I think it would encourage more people to go,it certainly would me ,I live in North Wales and tickets are not easy to come by particularly the bigger teams,so if I could get a couple of seats in a reasonably comfortable stand then I would come down a lot more often.

Need something desperately to assist disabled people.Ramps, lifts, specialist toilets etc.Taking a young chap as I do sometimes ain't easy at the Mem. Taking him to away games is usually a lot easier.

My maths isn't brilliant but away fans are restricted to 1000 ( charlton ) 1290 ( Cat A) tickets. I reckon we are losing between 10k to 15k away fans a season. For example Muff Ipswich Sheff w Pompey Derby Bolton would sell 3000 away tickets. Maybe Exter Oxford Charlton would bring another 1000 each. That is an additional 15000 tickets. £30 x 15000 plus refreshments is around £450k a season. The question whether home fans will buy a south stand new seat is an interesting point. I think they will and I reckon our return each season would be over £500k plus. Also we had a wasteful scenario v Pompey . They has 600 plus seats : 200 seats with a sheet over for separation and about 150 home fans squeezed in the corner.instead of letting Pompey have the lot . We actually left over 200 seats unsold to allow another 200 home fans in and make a sterile area. This happens every CAT A game. The club is losing BIG money each season and is throwing away BIG money !!

So for all category A games . Not only do we restrict away fans to 1000 plus losing £500k a season. We actually need to make 200 seats sterile to allow a pocket = full of home fans. In fact only 800 seats can be sold to fit segregation criteria . So we are losing £30 x 200 each category A game on top !.

Yet, in the Premiership, they leave the last couple of seats on each row empty and have a row of stewards standing in the gangway, noticed this in quite a few of the high profile London derbies.

It's happened again : it's happened again. The board promised a new stand ! No spade in the ground! Ain't heard a sound !

Is there anybody on here that doesn't already sit in the south stand going to be moving into the new one? Maybe missing the point? More options to increase away fans revenue More options for seating for home fans when they sell out a lot. More options for accessible seating, which is sadly lacking. Not a new ground or rebuild, but very minimum that is required
