Such a wide gap between "not winning in 7", and the bottom option. Why oh why do many think in extremes these days? Does my head in. Balance and nuance seems to be lost. I realised immediately after posting I should have included 'Sack him if we're relegated' in the poll, but I don't think I can change it? I did put a note in the OP asking if a Mod could add it. Not sure if that's possible? Probably not worth it now anyway as most people will have already voted. The last option probably is a bit extreme, should have just read 'Keep Barton even if we're relegated', but other than that, I'm not sure what else you'd change? In my opinion if we're not going to sack him after our next 7 games we'll have to stick with him until the end of the season. No point in sacking him with only 4 or 5 games left to play.

In some ways the next game is the perfect next game for us. Away from home and bad atmosphere. Against a team in as bad form as us, but crucially a footballing team not a black arts or physical team. And one we usually beat.
So good chance to stop the rot.
Lose again and I am worried. We don’t have the mental strength to turn it round without some help. Hopefully Gibson is back at least on the bench. Finley needs to step up.

I'm firmly in the stick with him even if we do go down. Having said that I don't think that will happen as I think we'll come good and finish mid table.

I'm all for giving the manager time to sort it out but.
"Stick with JB regardless, even if we go down without winning another game"
Is a no from me.
If we lose against Oxford, I'm not saying sack him but the powers at be will have to start contemplating it.

Chopping and changing managers clearly doesn't work (BG/PT).... This season is now obviously a right off, and with what he has done, JB has earned the right to continue for the time being. My view is that whilst we dreamed for a short period of play offs, we would have taken 12th-16th at the start of the season. We'll be safe, let's give him another summer to forge the squad and go from there. Whilst he hasn't helped himself with the January window, the amount of injuries would disrupt any squad. He still has my backing, but please just stop with the constant jibes and keep quiet for a bit Nor last summer's window. I think posters can post as they wish. What was wrong with last summer's window, up until December the players JB had signed were probably doing better than most of us expected? Coburn was scoring, Thomas and Gibson looked like decent defenders and Rossiter was performing well in midfield, Marquis was disappointing but that didn't really matter with Collins and Coburn both finding the net.
