Belshaw 8 - steady and did everything well without fuss, but not really tested.

Hoole 6.5 - a good goal can’t gloss over the fact that he was beaten with virtually every one on one and got caught in possession trying to do too much in dangerous areas.
Quansah 7 - a bit more of a head it kick it performance which is fine. Gave away the ball a couple of times second half which lead to breaks from Oxford, but overall did well I thought
Gibson 8.5 - motm for me, he’s what we’ve been missing and as I said earlier he was part of the back 4 when we started to look a bit more solid before the derby disaster. Good on the ball and won virtually everything.
Gordon 7- steady defensively, kept the ball well but didn’t offer much going forward

Coutts 6.5 - solid enough, kept the ball moving but was guilty of some poor delivery from setpieces.
Finley 7.5 - ran the midfield in the first half and kept the ball well. When we were on the back foot in the second half he dropped in and covered the defence well.
Bogarde 7 - again good in the first half and kept the ball well, good movement to win the penalty, but faded a bit second half when the game turned to us defending the lead.

Sinclair 7.5 - goal and an assist in rather a quiet game for him, but his contribution was very good in that first half
Marquis 7 - worked hard to keep the ball when it went up top and did that role well.
Collins - 8 always a threat, had the better of their right back. The goal was a touch of class.

Belshaw 7.5 nice to see him reinstated and didn't let anyone down. Regulation saves and for me added that touch of harmony at the back

Hoole 6 was beaten many times but had the last laugh with the last nailed on header in the coffin.
Quansah 8.5 m o m appeared everywhere and looked to win all his battles.
Gibson 8 same as above and great to see him back.
Gordon 7.5 a very decent game and rightly replaced not so old MacDonald.

Coutts 6.5 tracked well in defence and kept ball rolling in midfield but looks to me to lack pace.
Finley 8 back to midfield terrier and was catylst in dominating and taking play and possession away from Ox.
Bogarde 6.5 found space a lot but not utilised as much, was instrumental right place right time for earning penalty to get us up and running.

Sinclair 8.5 excellent game management on both sides, found acres of room on the right, threatening on the left, with one goal and assist he's paying us back in multitudes.
Marquis 7 nice chest down and pass out for Collins sh** that led to pen. His movements looked to create space for Sinclair. Important contribution.
Collins 8 almost everything he done worked or looked dangerous to a poor Ox defence and defending mid. Ample support for mid, had their right back on toast and delicate confident finish that if you didn't know better looked like he was taking the p!ss....! Silly needless booking.

Subs:Evans 6 nice assist, his only of the year, from corner to Hoole.
Ward 6 appeared to steady replacement.
Coburn 7 almost made it embarrassing for them. Looks to be getting near full fitness.

Ref 8 actually some of his decisions went out way more than theirs! A 50/50 jump, he booked their player! As we were singing like a team at home, maybe he was a right homer...?
Oxford 2 oh dear. As soon a S Head B0llock went off injured and they had no strikers, their plan went Maxwell....

You can only play what's in front of you, but without Bodin and Boa this outfit looks toothless up front and will struggle.

Well done JAB for making the right starting line up call - pre match, a big call to make - and the players to execute it.

.... instinctively, pop a £1 on Oxford relegation. They seem to be waning and look to have no way out of it....they hold the luck of a doomed team.
