No news on the new kit for this season I take it, season kicks off in 4 weeks.
Maybe if the club design next seasons kit now or in the next couple of months then we might be able to buy it by early to mid June in 2024.]You'd think the club would be able to parade it by now surely' a nice few quid before August

From memory it was around December. I get the impression there are 6-7 initial designs and they whittle them down to the final 3 (H/A/third kit) and agreed well in advance. The 1883 club sponsorship deal used to be held in April (The Sportsman/Thornton's Travel etc) so the sponsors logo was then added to the agreed design and the kit was ready to be sorted for the next season. From memory the Man City game saw us actually wear the next seasons kit in April! I know people how would like to buy new kit ready for their hols, but it has even well documented that little Bristol Rovers have to wait their turn. |

Be nice if they announce and have them in stock at the same time now it has got so late. So are we thinking: Home: Quarters with some sort of new design, possibly patterned in the blue? Away: Yellow and ? 3rd: The black and green fleck away one from last season |

2019: Friday July 26th
2020: Friday July 24th
2021: Friday July 16th
2022: Friday July 22nd
So not late at all. This is normal. We normally use the previous seasons shirts for pre-season matches. Friday July 21st or Friday July 28th would be my guess for the new kit release.

Hopefully I won't like both the home and away kit too or this could get expensive for me.. especially when the kids will want a shirt (or full kit) too!  |

Don’t the kits usually match up with the training gear? Silver and black away kit would be my guess , if I remember correctly they used that colour blocking as an option when the fans voted for the black with yellow pinstripes.

We must have massively over ordered last seasons kit if we are still offering it at a sale price of £30 quid.
I'm not quite sure it is the sort of thing that you can go to the manufacturers on a sale or return type deal.
Maybe the club have got wise to the fad of overpriced old kits that are on sale on ebay - hence the new retro shirts line - and are intentionally over ordering just keeping a few hundred previous years kit back for that purpose?
Then again if it is a third kit we could officially wear it if we have a clash.
Maybe if we stated that this seasons away kit will also be the third kit the following season it does make it slightly more value for money, I suppose.
