I can't be the only one who bored senseless with the bloody quarters?! They restrict any real deviation in design and therefore we essentially end up with the same bloody home kit every single season! I get it, we are Bristol Rovers and we are historically linked to the quarters.... But surely one season away from them is not the end of the world? It would be a huge success commercially I am sure as people like me who are a bit bored of the quarters would buy it and people who don't like change would be even more inclined to get the new kit next season when we revert back to the quarters. Also, the non quarter kit would become as rare as the infamous snack box kit, or the pink away kit etc.. Like I say, I am not suggesting a long term move away from the beloved quarters, of course I am not! But I do think the time has come for a short break from them to freshen things up. I would love an all blue deep blue kit similar to the 1972 home kit below for our home kit.. And then perhaps something similar to our 2001 /2away strip below for the away kit... As I was scrolling through this thread I was thinking the very same but you beat me to it. One of our very best shirts with the simple logo

The quarters were introduced by a manager in the 1930s to make the players look bigger. He later buggered off to join a circus :-) I'm not sure why they are "famous". Wannabes grabbing onto anything.

You'd think with all the controversy off the pitch, the club would release the kits as a smoke screen Pesky Macron late as usual. Hopefully we move away from them next year.

From what I have seen online; it hasn't gone down well with some Sabadell fans either.. I do yearn for a "something a bit different" with our quarters for a season. Even perhaps moving away from them altogether It would be very strange and yet I think people would buy the shirts.. then when we revert back to traditional quarters the season after it would be guaranteed to be a success commercially If it hasn't gone down well with their fans are they really then going to go out and buy their shirts in large numbers? I sense we need to do something different as not sure I need another standard quarters shirt but the club doesn't need to move away from the quarters entirely. Some fans complaining about the move away from traditional quarters doesn't mean it won't be a commercial success. Then next season when they go back to quarters it will break all sorts of records

This is what I have been saying! Have 1 season every 5 or 10 where you do something "a bit different" I do love the quarters, but I also love steak and would probably get tired of eating steak for every meal (ah, who am I kidding - of course I wouldn't.. rubbish analogy!)

If we did re-adopt the all blue home kit would we have to rename the training ground from The Quarters to The Plain???

The 1st home kit I remember when started watching the Gas in 1967. Would want the motif pointing up though and not dropping off as it was then

The 1st home kit I remember when started watching the Gas in 1967. Would want the motif pointing up though and not dropping off as it was then The same here, my first game was also in 1967 we were home to Bournemouth it was a 1:1 draw. We place in all blue with Chelsea stripe down the shorts blue socks with white tops. After that or the next season the white shorts came in and then even white socks in subsequent year(s) Our Watney cup winning kit was my favourite. I really really like the Sabadel new kit now I have seen the video of it being worn, there is a hint of quarters a bit like the Tesco Bag had a hint of quarters. I would buy a Gas shirt if it was like the sabadel one Don't moan about my spelling of Sabadel please UTG

Let's ask Sheffield Wednesday or Newcastle to stop wearing stripes. Let's ask Man City to stop wearing Sky Blue, Let's ask QPR to stop playing in hoops!

Been wanting a pink and yellow (battenburg) away kit for years 😄 Done right I think it could be smart. In terms of patterns inside the quarters I always loved this gem from the 90s.

No Quarters is sacrelidge Well, in my lifetime Seffield Wednesday have mainly worn Blue shirts and white sleeves, was their trade mark in the 60's n 70's I don't know when they changed to stripes. I think it's always good to have a change now and then. UTG

This is acceptable. The Croatia kit Sabbadel have is nice but it isn’t quarters. No Tesco bag or printer failures like in 18-19. Yes we went crazy in the 60s but we’re renowned for wearing quarters. Don’t mess with them.

But blue wasn't even our main colour. This stuck until 1962, when we switched to stripes until 1966, then blue kits until 1973. So basically like 80 out of the last 100 years, and the majority of our history has been in quarters. But we don't have much of a history of all blue kits - we have spent more our history wearing black and white stripes according to www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_Rovers/Bristol_Rovers.htm

A whole lot harder tracking our history compared to a far newer club, say a Bristol City for example 😁!!

Loved the ‘silver’ kit the team had on today at Eastleigh. Was that new training kit or possible away or 3rd kit but would buy it
