The quarters in my Humble opinion should stay solid blue and white, the Tesco carrier bag was absolutely abysmal and just didn't look right. I do not wish us to go back to solid plain blue either. And has for an away strip' if we don't go for Quarters then why not try of of our very own 1920's black and white stripes, white shorts with black/white stockings! Just a thought Rovers wore black & white stripes during their Southern League era 1899 up to 1920 when the clubs in league one in Southern League joined on mass the newly created third division (South) The white shirts navy blue knickers not described as shorts till much later on. That kit remained until 1929 when plain blue shirts were introduced. Manager Capt Albert Albert Prince Cox suggested blue &white quarters and introduced them in 1931 as he contended it made his players look more formidable in size and remained until 1961. Check out the Bristol Rovers History Group website and the fascinating Project Black Arab Page 156 which reveals several short lived coloured shirts used by the club Eastville Rovers in its formative years.

You’ve answered your own question. ‘Plain’ for 2/3/4 seasons in a row ain’t exactly going to sell. Not sure they'd buy one just because the the they'd put pinstripes in the quarters, probably the club being successful on the pitch boosts sales far more than a complete redesign of the shirt ever does. The way to boost sales is to have stock from before the season starts and especially in the run up to Christmas.

That sort of thinking gave us the Tesco bag kit. Wasn’t it a best seller at the time though? (Not that I want it back) Probably helped by it being our long-awaited return to Bristol.. what a buzz!! I certainly had one and I liked it. Would be interesting to know how well the next home shirt sold once we inevitably went back to traditional blue & white quarters?

Goodness me, you saw what happened when they tried to improve our child’s pirate themed party badge.
Anything which doesn’t resemble the 1974 kit will face stiff opposition. With enforced sideburn, slight paunch, pie, mash and a pint before the game and all fans to have those rattle things.

Given the disaster with the badge designs you have to fear the worst! Nobody seems to have given one thought to the possibility that the club released those pathetic suggestions knowing full well that fans would vote to keep the camp buccaneer, therewith ending the debate about it.

Camp buccaneer.... All that's going round in my head is 'Where's me washboard, have you seen it?' (Will only make sense to mid life crisis people)

Whatever the kit looks like, I just hope it turns up before the start of the season so it can be sold on any kit launch day in all sizes… took till Christmas to get a kiddies kit in stock this year and that ain’t good enough considering those little gits are the ones we are supposed to be targeting! Our always seems to be out later than anyone elses
