A few years ago I suggested to the club they should introduce a scheme like this, whereby fans spend their money at "partner" and the club gets commission.
Last week there was an article on the website.
Mods can you add links.
It is easy to sign up and your spending creates additional income for the club, from Thorntons Easter eggs, to cards, to buying the Mrs a Lulu Guinness designer handbag, taking the kids to a theme park, buying craft beer, charity purchases and holidays.
There is something for everyone.
The SC had a similar thing about 15 years ago linked to the SC website and I think someone bought a kitchen refit and there was a worldwide cruise purchased which earned the club hundreds for doing nothing.
Fans have the chance to win as well.
Its all win win, as you just have to spend what you would usually spend and if it is with a designated partner, the club gets commission, so join up now and refer a friend.

Boosted so more people are aware.
If promoted effectively, and the likes of Wael, Tom, Joey and the players join as well as the fanbase, this can earn the club thousands if not tens of thousands a year, without any increase in people's actual spending.
Mods can you add links please.
Act now so Rovers benefit from the money you would have spent anyway on Mothers Day and Easter.

If you have got to go shopping with the Mrs today and take her out for something to eat, check out the list of companies linked to the Football Fanatics site so at least Rovers can get some income.
It you haven't got any eggs for Easter yet, buying from Thorntons earns the club dosh - don't forget to sign up.
I have earnt them £O.27 so far - then again I hate shopping, am a skinflint and a Luddite, but every little helps.
If someone buys a big holiday that could earn the club £hundreds alone and you would not have to spend a penny more. Rovers just earn commission for something you were going to buy anyway. Money for old rope!

Just seen RailCard has been added.
If you go in a group to away games by train, you can pair up with someone to save some money with a Two Together card, and if you join via the Spend and Win scheme, Rovers will gain some extra monies as well.

Am I sceptical or is this a type of scam we should avoid?

Am I sceptical or is this a type of scam we should avoid? Sceptical, the supporters club has promoted this sort of fundraiser in the past, I didn't know the previous one had ended.

Am I sceptical or is this a type of scam we should avoid? It's hardly a scam just yet another cashback scheme, given that Top Cashback and Quidco amongst others operate similar schemes then I can't honestly see the attraction of using one where Rovers rather than the user gets the cashback.

Am I sceptical or is this a type of scam we should avoid? it is a form of affiliate shopping I use Easyfundraising for my local Community Centre and you basically shop with the big brands via their website and a % is given to the good cause Nothing dodgy or scammy about it

I am a Luddite so don't know how to add a link, but there is a link on the fans section on the official website.
I am a member of another similar Cashback scheme and if I want to purchase a product from a company that doesn't feature on the other scheme, I buy it via Rovers.
It costs me the same amount as it would if I bought it direct from the company itself, but this way at least some money goes back to the club.

What you are declaring is incompetence, that's different

Hi all,
just signed up to the forum to confirm that this is indeed a thing and not a scam. Me and my wife bought a virgin atlantic flight ticket last year and earned the club a whopping 4 pound!! Football fanatics.
But been plugging away and managed to put about 20 into the clubs coffers all-in-all . UTG!

What you are declaring is incompetence, that's different Thanks Oldie, now I know. Maybe I am really a incompetent Luddite. I don't like change, I eventually try it, it fails, I try and try again, it still doesn't work, so I don't like it even more! Sounds like my recent ST experience! How much easier was it the old days? I once turned up to find my ST book was not in my Rovers jacket. I just had to spend 10 mins with Steve Burns and I got in. Then a quick trip to Kingswood the next week to see Bernie and I got a replacement. Easy. To keep it relevant, even I can go to the Football Fanatics website and search for the things I want (or rather Mrs/family want) and this helps the club. When it is money for nothing, I really think the commercial team should have advertised this more. Just think of the potential commission that has been lost with summer holiday bookings for example. Anyhow, join today and earn the club some money. Collectively, we can help Wael, by earning the club the money to pay the interest on the new stand loan.

As we approach Christmas just reminding you all of this scheme that was rolled out by the previous sales manager, but was not given the publicity it should have.
Once you sign up, you buy your Christmas presents, just as you would have done anyway - it doesn't cost you anything more - but the club gets a bit of commission if you purchase from an affiliated company.

No signs now of a link in the "Fans" section of the OS so it must have been abandoned?
