Well deserved.
Iβm Hoping he stays with us for a big push next season, but fully expect a few championship clubs will be sniffing about already.

I suspect he has benefited from the vote being done quite a while in advance. Fair play to him though.

Well done Azza. Fully deserved.
His all round game is superb.
I wasn't expecting him to win it though, thought Barry Bannan was a shoe in, simply because of all the hyperbole whenever he's mentioned.
When was the last time a Rovers player was voted the leagues Player Of The Season?

Great news, also nice to see 2 former Rovers players Tom Lockyer & Jonson Clarke-Harris getting into their respective Efl teams of the years along with Aaron.

Wow , didnβt think heβd win ! Thatβs gotta put a few hundred thousand on his price tag π Thought he had no chance and having watched Barry Brannan last week you do have to feel he's been robbed! It does make it a bit more surprising that he was overlooked by Wales.

Was certainly in the Team Of The Year though

When we got relegated from League Two didnβt we have two players in the team of the year (Smith and OβToole) ?
Canβt imagine that will have happened to a relegated team before.

Well done Aaron. Congratulations also to his team mates and the coaching staff who would have been important in his achieving the award. And well done to whoever gave him the contract extension last summer. Itβs not usually something we do!! π
UTG!

Tom Lockyer is Championship Player of the Year. I think youβve had crossed wires here. He made team of the year, not player.

And well done to whoever gave him the contract extension last summer. Itβs not usually something we do!! π UTG! When you think he didn't score his first league goal until January of last season. To be voted the best player in the league above the following season is one hell of an achievement. Like you said Joey and the backroom staff and the rest of the players have contributed to it as well. Marcus Stewart, Barry Hayles, Cureton, Roberts, Ellington and Sir Rickie never won a Player Of The Season with us, so it's some accolade for Azza to do it. Brilliant.
