Belly, I'm sad to say. I wonder if the substitution was partly to allow him to receive an individual round of applause, as well as to have a final look at Balcombe. Possibly Finley, he looked a bit dispirited too. Finley was my favourite player but he just hasnt performed for most of this season and the goals have dried up completely. He is no longer the driving force he was and gives the ball away far too often I don’t think he changed, I think the opponents changed |

Belshaw has been tremendous for BRFC; I personally hope he stays, Balcombe imo is awful, I do not understand why Joey brought him in, he is so slow going down for a save, and that push into the net at Morecambe. o dear.

TT my friend spoke to Belly about 2 months ago, and he told him he will be moving back to be nearer his family in Nottingham, never posted it during the season as thought it might cause some problems, Belly told him that house prices were too expensive in these parts. Belly has been a great signing, and wish him well. Ah, thanks for that, although sad to hear it. I can quite understand about the house prices issue, and, with his wife due to give birth, he won't be wanting to spend the majority of the week away from home. |

I know many people who have moved just over the severn bridge as house prices there are much much lower than Bristol. Would be easy to get to the training ground too. If Balcombe had lat the second two goals he would have been blamed. Not blaming Belly for tose goals but reflecting how some on this forum are preconceived with their thoughts. |

If Notts County return to the Football League can see Belshaw finishing his career there. His father is season ticket holder there I believe.
Belshaw has been superb for us in his two seasons here.

Belshaw I would class as: Excellent with his feet, real modern keeper. Broadly average at shot stopping, decision making and crosses at league 1 level. We’ve had better keepers in those other areas but he is hands down the best keeper of the modern type we’ve had.
Number one spot to Will Puddy, obvs.
