Belly, I'm sad to say. I wonder if the substitution was partly to allow him to receive an individual round of applause, as well as to have a final look at Balcombe. Possibly Finley, he looked a bit dispirited too. According to the man himself Belly is still under contract and going nowhere There’s my summer ruined! Hopefully we find a good number one who can distribute the ball when it’s needed, save the ball, communicate and have the ability to save a penalty now and then. Other than save a few average shots and make them look like big saves now and then then do the Pickford time Wasting thing, then let the easy ones in, but still be able to clap the Thatchers like nothings happened. |

In all honesty I’m not sure he’s L1 standard however he’s been a great servant to the club & perhaps with a settled back like he’ll perform better next year. Cheers Clevedon. |

Belly said it on Monday evening at the awards do Happy days! I recall Ellis saying something similar at Melksham in pre season and a week or so later he was gone. I’d take most things people in football say with a pinch of salt. |

Didn't take much notice as there was an analyst from another club sitting in front of us, entering stats on his laptop throughout the game, and I could see Ellis's name on the screen. |
