Terrible goalkeeping mistake for the first goal, then a huge deflection for the second. Wed trying to chase the game got picked off.

A Wednesday fan on the BBC Sport website saying the playoffs are not fair, if they'd finished in the top 2 then they wouldn't have needed to worry about the playoffs. A goal start for the higher placed team would make it fairer. Wouldn't have helped the Owls though.

It was only a week ago that Wednesday fans were taunting Derby about spending another year in League One. Karma 🤣

I think the majority of the time, a team that finishes 3rd or 4th(League 2) who just miss out on automatics always underperform in the Play Offs.
Whereas a team that just sneaks into the final Play Off place normally win them.

Kinda hope they go up, but it’s what makes football and the play offs great. Absolutely this. 96 points is impressive no doubt, but two teams finished the season with more than that? So any ‘it’s not fair’ shout can go straight in the bin😄 Barnsley finished on 86, also a huge amount. Where do you cut off the teams who ‘deserve to go up in autos’. Suck it up Owls fans, finishing on almost 100 points and getting twatted by a side who you aided on the last day of the season to get in at the expense of another (who you taunted) is an embarrassment.

Didn’t expect them to lose 4-0 in the first game though 🤣

When we missed out on the Play Offs back in 2000 didn’t we have the most points ever for a team to miss out? Pretty sure we had 80 odd. Then the following season I'm sure we got relegated with the highest points tally too with 50 or 51 points. Double whammy.

Then we exited the football league with a points tally that would’ve kept us up every other season ever played😂

I think Peterborough will do it this year, well hope so as we seldom get anything from them.

The points tallies at the top this season are a reflection of the discrepancy between the top 4 teams and the bottom 4 teams. The points tally for survival was also low. Some of those teams this season were absolutely shocking. Even our last relegation squad could have given some of them a run for their money.
