Yep , always a great opener , love this fixture, always think of the 'family' 'Melksham Gas' , 5 or 6 who were /are regulars at the Mem in East stand.

A nice away trip to a ligue 1 french club would suit me. Preferably Clermont Foot as it's 1hr up the road. Failing that Ligue 2 St Etienne would be fine.
Two spare rooms for B&B for travelling gas. Come on Rovers make it happen ..You know it makes sense. 👍👍

The Dad who would have loads of kids to look after all on his own (I assume they’re all teenager or young men by now) have seen them from Carlisle & Hartlepool to Swindon & Chelt! We signed Joe Partington from them .Liked him.One of their directors was a vol at Seaton Hosp' for covid jabs.Told me being a director at that level isn't exactly financially rewarding!!!

What about us exiles , I travel down from Lincolnshire ( I’m sure there’s plenty of other exiles ) what about a few friendlys round my area , forest / county / Mansfield / Lincoln / Peterborough / Leicester / derby , even Grantham town would be nice
I mean you lot only do 5 mins from your front door to the mem , a bit of travelling won’t hurt you lol 😆

I know we only drew there but was still a good night. Think the club gave the fans the benefit of the doubt when many panic and over police it. No issue when they realised we were there in numbers and that the invite to the club bar had to be rescinded. Everyone recommended to go to a local pub - Cricketers Arms - where a quick call from the barman to get a couple of people in for an extra shift made things easy. One of the barmaids was loving the banter, if anything she started it. Chairmen went public about how well behaved we were. Wouldn't surprise me if he asked for the friendly |
