Did Taylor not turn up today? A mate of mine tells me he refused to take part having been named as a player. I noticed a few names missing that had been announced originally. Scholes and Giggs?

2-1 to south west. Lines with opener. Can't remember who got the 2nd. Jim Magilton pulling one back shortly before half time. East stand bar for people on list which is a bit annoying. Don't think the doorman sending people to Thatchers realises the tickets won't scan twice. Hey ho, more important things today I was really looking forward to seeing Jill Scott, I imagine that she could mix it with the men in this sort of game - what did you think?

Jill Scott certainly looked a footballer, as did several..Scholes, Lines to name a couple. Given that it was non competitive,Jill certainly seemed to hold her own....

One of those charity games without any proper tackles flying in. Jill was always available and did a lot of running, always wanting to be involved. Great penalty

Good atmosphere in a mixed crowd of City Rovers Man U Ipswich Sunderland & Yeovil fans. Jill Scott and Harry Redknapp were very popular with fans wanting photos and autographs and certainly took time to please all those wanting their attention.
Bit of banter from crowd with Scotty Murray & Marlon Pack but the glorious sunshine and crisp pitch allowed some fantastic football. Scholes Browner & Lines did shine Lines scored two Darren Way ex Yeovil two for South West legends with former Ipswich Town Jim Magilton scored one for Legends side before break and Jill Scott scored a penalty I believe after I had headed out for a drink.4 2 win for South West side
Good to see Darrell Clarke and Paul Tisdsle and chat to Marcus pre match and later and during match Geoff Twentyman and Phil Purnell. Good to see Nick Culkin Steve Mildenhall and Ryan Clarke in their respective goals and welcome back Lee Mansell Joe Partington and Ellis Harrison although the latter did not play. Apparently Matty Taylor pulled out at 11pm last night.
Good entertainment and hopefully large sum raised today
Lots of good will plenty of fund raising for a tremendous cause. Probably 4000 plus on attendance looked bare the South Stand gone.

Was up in the corporate chatting to an ex gas player who is mates with Taylor, who said Taylor didn’t play as he didn’t want it to overshadow the game/day and cause a scene etc. Fair enough really as no doubt would’ve got some sh-t from some people.

Huge respect to Taylor for that. 👍

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw from Coronation Street) walk right by me and gave his shirt to a kid, nice gesture

Great to see fans wearing several different team colours standing together and enjoying the day. City, Yeovil, Exeter and Ipswich were all represented, plus a few Man Utd.
Heard quite a few ex players who were not playing bought tickets to support the event and mingle with the fans on the terraces.
I saw Billy Clark and Ellis chatting away to supporters. TG and Ellis also had a lengthy chat (possibly about contracts? 2+2 =5!)
I don't think any of the current squad were there though to support the event, which was a pity.
Hopefully the charity made shed loads.
The only gripe was that programmes sold out with more than an hour to go......again! Maybe like vinyl they are more popular than the powers that be seem to think. If there were sufficient numbers printed that would have helped raised a lot more cash for the charity.

They were giving programmes away FOC well after the game had ended. I managed to get a couple for the kids and then threw some money into one of the collection buckets.
