Paddy was outside his box as we were sat in line with the edge of the box, only he can explain why he did that on the day. With it being so early in the game I think the ref bottled the decision, thankfully! 8 mins of highlights (albeit from "OfficialBRFCTV") on YouTube and yet, for some reason, the Puddy incident did not make the edit...  |

Yeah Grimsby were robbed - he should have walked. We got very lucky and yes, I suspect the ref bottled it.
Then again if a fit Mildy had been between the sticks we might not have needed to worry as much and got the game put to bed within 90 minutes. I was behind the goal and I remember the defence were panicky - they didn't trust Puddy and any time the ball went wafting around the box there were quartered kittens.

As i habve always said, decisions, good or bad seem to balance out over an entire season |

I had forgotten the Taylor incident but, in slow motion, he doesn’t half make a meal of it and the ref did really well to notice that but i bet that would have been a pen , with VAR |

Yes I too have never watched the whole game back, only really the main highlights. Talking of viewing through drunken eyes, if I remember correctly, didn't the Green Man pub bring in barrels of Thatchers Gold for us to drink that day? Pretty sure they ran out as well! I recall the landlord coming on here (or the older forum) asking us what would be the favoured beverage on the day. Fair play they must’ve spent a fortune on thatchers & made a hell of a lot more in return! This Forum has been going since 2014 so would have been on here. |
