IMO he wasn't as bad as made out.
He just wasn't AT ALL what we needed at the time he came in. We needed a winger with pace and he was a CM with no pace asked to play on the wing.
I think he'll do alright for Stevenage.

I think he'll do alright for Stevenage. Totally agree , He actually was one of the few players who looked comfortable on the ball. He was played out of position but he managed to provide a couple of probing crosses. One in particular was a beauty that led to JJOT scoring a centre forwards header. I felt he was treated very harshly because we wanted an out & out winger so he got Dogs abuse that was undeserved. What a crazy situation when one midfielder provided the ball to another midfielder to score. No doubt, we had the most unbalanced squad in L2. The breaking point for me was when Ward actually crowed after the Newport game about our striking situation. That game was not convincing by any means and we struggled to clear our lines on numerous occasions. |

Tbf it was only 1 poster who really had it in for him. We've had worse.

Yes we have had worse but only just, the bloke was never a winger, no pace and certainly not what we needed at the time, surprised he had found a league club to take him. Has Ward taken a DOF role at Stevenage?  |

The wrong player at the wrong time. I don't think he is as bad as some used to make out but I am still surprised he got a club who will have aspirations of promotion to L1 next season.
